Rabbi Jonathan Slater teaches who we are emerges from what we do.

We may have money,

Title,

Status,

But none of that means anything unless we act according to the demands of honor,

Compassion,

And justice.

Heroes are people who extend themselves with great effort or even unintentionally for the sake of another in need.

Rest your eyes,

Relaxing body and breath.

Find a comfortable way to sit and allow your eyes to come to a soft focus and gently relax the body.

Call to mind someone who treated you with honor,

Extending themselves on your behalf.

Sit with the image of this person before you.

Offer thanks for that moment.

Call to mind an instance where you treated another with honor,

Extending yourself on that person's behalf.

Offer thanks for that moment.
