The Rambam taught if we are uncertain regarding a matter,

Whether to act or not,

We should endeavor to remove every personal connection,

Interest,

Or attachment from our consideration.

Only then will we be able to see it clearly in its proper light,

And in that way we will be better able to perceive our creator's true intention for us.

Rest your eyes,

Relaxing body and breath.

As you continue to breathe,

Gently notice the sensations in the body and pay close attention to the muscles in the jaw.

If you are holding,

Relax.

Pay attention to the muscles in the chest and abdominal area.

If you are holding,

Relax.

As you continue to scan the body,

Noticing what areas are holding onto tightness,

Scan your mind and heart as well.

What connections,

Personal interests,

And attachments are you clinging to that keep you from seeing things clearly?
