Owning your peace and wellbeing is more important than ever before. The natural world is a place where you can close your eyes, breathe slowly, and invite peace into your being. In times of stress and uncertainty, immerse yourself in the peacefulness of nature by focusing your awareness on a single flower. This is a restorative photography meditation for reconnecting with peace at any moment of the day.

Hi,

My name is Tanya and I will be guiding you in today's meditation.

The title of this meditation is Creating a Sacred Moment of Peace.

I love meditating on flowers.

As a plant lover,

I have flowers all around my home.

But if you're not,

It's easy to find a flower in nature.

Even a flowering weed will work for this mindfulness meditation and photography practice.

Choose a flower that resonates with you.

Grab your camera.

Set an intention for this sacred moment as we journey together in this mindfulness meditation.

Sit quietly and observe the magnificence of the flower you've chosen.

Take a slow,

Deep breath.

A breath is a mindful pause,

A way to return to center,

To ground yourself,

To be present.

Think of how this flower formed from a tiny seed,

Growing through rain,

Wind,

Sun,

Night and day,

To become the living being it is at this moment.

Lean in close if you can and pause to inhale the scent of the flower.

Breathe in its fragrance.

Explore how it feels to experience the smell of a fresh flower.

Notice where in your body you feel the fragrance of the flower.

Does the smell bring back any special memories for you?

Return your eyes to your flower.

Explore its color,

Shape and texture.

Stay with your visual experience a few moments longer.

If your mind reaches back to a time before this moment or leaps forward to a time after this moment,

Bring yourself back to the present.

Gently touch the flower with your eyes closed.

What does your sense of touch reveal that your eyes did not?

Center yourself and explore your feelings in this moment.

Notice the calming effect this experience has on your mind,

Body and spirit.

Open your heart and free your mind.

Take another slow breath.

When you're ready,

Raise your camera and take a picture of the lovely flower before you.

Shoot while continuing to take in the moment at the same time.

You can bring more peace,

Beauty,

Stillness and ease into your presence every day simply by focusing on the present moment.

In times of stress,

You can find solace by coming back to your photograph and remembering the whole experience of this moment.

As you prepare to end this mindfulness meditation,

Give thanks for the connection you and the flower have shared today.

Namaste.
