Welcome to another episode of Silent Superheroes,

Where we use the power of calm breathing to give us real-world superpowers.

Let's take a long slow breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

So today we're going to talk about getting up in the morning.

Sometimes it's super hard to wake up in the morning.

We're laying in our bed,

It's nice and cozy,

We're having a lovely dream and we just don't want to get up.

And maybe the alarm goes off or our parents or our grandparents or our carers come in and they say,

Wake up,

Wake up and we just don't want to get up.

But,

If we don't wake up,

We can't have the fun during the day.

We can't eat the yummy food,

We can't play with our friends and do all of those things we want to do.

So today we're going to use the power of slow calm breathing to help us to wake up in the morning so we can have the best day ever.

So let's do another couple of slow calm breaths and we'll talk about how we can do it.

Are you ready?

The first thing I want you to think about is that when your alarm goes off,

That that means it's time to wake up.

That beeping or that radio means that it's time and ready to wake up.

So I want you to say to yourself right now,

As soon as my alarm goes off,

I'm going to get up and get out of bed.

Now,

That can be a little bit tricky so there's a couple of things we're going to do.

Just imagine yourself,

You're in bed and the alarm's going off and bang,

Your eyes jump wide open and you hear that alarm.

There's a couple of things you're going to do.

You're laying down in your bed,

Your alarm goes off,

Your eyes instantly open,

Bang.

And then you're going to do some slow breathing and just moving your body.

So your eyes are awake and I want you to wiggle your feet,

Wiggle,

Wiggle,

Wiggle,

Wiggle,

Wiggle,

Wiggle,

Wiggle,

Wiggle and wiggle your hands,

Wiggle,

Wiggle,

Wiggle,

Wiggle,

Wiggle,

Wiggle,

Wiggle,

Wiggle,

Wiggle.

Great job.

Now I want you to move your legs.

You ready?

Move,

Move,

Move,

Move,

Move,

Move,

Move,

Move,

Move,

Move,

Move,

Move,

Move,

Move,

Move.

Good job.

And now I want you to move your hands.

Big movements,

You could even do like clapping.

Let's clap.

You ready?

And clap.

And clap.

And one more super big clap.

Super loud.

Are you ready?

Clap.

Good job.

Okay.

So now we're going to do three biggest slow breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth,

But what I want you to do is when you're breathing,

When you're doing these slow,

Calm breaths,

Raise your hands up,

Up,

Up,

Up,

Up,

Up,

Up.

All the way to the roof and raise your feet and big,

Big,

Big,

Big,

Big push so you're stretching your whole body out and then when you're breathing out you're just relaxing.

You ready?

And breathe in with your hands and body stretching.

And relax.

You ready to stretch again?

And relax.

Okay,

One more big stretch.

And relax.

Okay,

So now I think you're ready to hop out of bed.

I want you to throw those covers off and hop out of bed and do a big big big jump.

Jumping up and down now getting your body all ready and raring to go.

You ready?

And jump jump jump jump jump jump jump jump jump jump jump jump jump.

Good job.

And now you're gonna run on the spot and go.

Run run run run run run run run run run run run run run run run run.

Great job.

Okay,

I think you're probably very awake now and very ready to go.

So if you ever feel like you can't wake up in the morning remember say to yourself,

When my alarm goes off I'm going to wake up my eyes are gonna pop open.

Bang!

And then when they do you start with some light stretching,

Some calm breathing and then some bit more vigorous movements like some jumping or some running and then you're up and you're ready to go because the day is gonna be super fun,

Super exciting and now you can experience it.

Alright,

Let's just finish with one big slow breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Now if you want you can play this track every morning or whenever you're feeling super tired but you need to get up.

Great job you little superheroes.
