Join us in this brief meditation where you will take part in a visualization compassion practice to deal with perfectionistic behavior. Now we're going to let that negativity out,

Okay?

Where you can breathe in through the nose and then pause and then breathe out with your mouth wide open and your tongue sticking out and making a loud noise.

So you can breathe in,

Pause and let that go.

Breathe in,

Pause and let that go.

One more deep breath in,

Pause and let that go.

Excellent.

And we are now going to dive deeper into our meditation,

Deeper into our bodies and move into that body and feel what emotions you are experiencing right now.

And you might want to place your right hand on your heart and your left hand over your hand and really feel and experience those emotions.

And I actually want to show you some compassion and I hope you can do that for yourself.

It's okay how you are feeling,

It's okay that things are difficult and I'm sorry that you struggle with perfectionism.

That must be hard for you.

And can you state out loud I am doing my best,

I am perfectly imperfect,

I am working on my perfectionism,

I am allowed to make mistakes.

You can let that go.

Take another deep breath in through the nose and breathe out through the mouth.

And can you now shift and try to feel and see an image of what your life would be like without these pressures and high standards.

So how would your life look like when you didn't deal with perfectionism?

And more importantly,

How do you feel?

Do you feel free,

Happy,

Calm,

Trusting?

Do you feel easy or loved?

And does that make you smile?

Maybe you are smiling right now in the meditation.

And in this visualization of you not being a perfectionist,

How would people act and be around you?

How would your daily life be?

How would work go?

Really see and feel this.

And can you thank yourself for being here in this meditation and taking time for you.

I am grateful that you started the journey to work on your perfectionism.

Is there something you are grateful for today?

You can take another deep breath in through the nose and let it all out through the mouth.

And ask yourself one more time,

How am I feeling and did it change?

And you can slowly move around,

Open your eyes and come back.
