Waves

A modern piano, guitar and drum track. Created in memory of my God mum who died just prior to the creation of this piece. It is a work of love and skill between myself on piano and my dad on guitar. For years we had been wanting to create something together and this track is the start of a whole album. It's a journey over two waves. Soothing and energising. It's great for relaxation, focus, clarity of mind and an opportunity to remember the good times and send prayers to loved ones no longer with us.

A musical story, told in chapters. The first chapter was absolutely inspired - three layers, the drums being the steady beat of life, the keyboard being the emotional weight of grief, the guitar the survivor left behind and trying to cope. And then the waves of transition and increasing focus on life and less on the drone of grief, though it remains present, growing fainter as time passes. So well conceptualized, and such a wonderful tribute to the memory of your loved one. Your dad sounds as talented as I know you are. This was absolutely lovely. Thank you both for sharing it with us.
