Hello and welcome back to Your Journey Yoga.
My name is Natalia and today we have a meditation for connecting with breath of mind,
Body,
And spirit.
This practice is best done seated,
So if you would like to have some support with you or if you would like to sit in a chair,
Please feel free to do so.
Take a few moments to get settled and we'll begin.
As you arrive in your meditation seat,
You can close the eyes,
Allowing the eyelids to be super heavy and welcome a sense of ease and relaxation into the muscles of your face.
Unclenching the jaw,
Letting the eyes be still,
Letting the brow be unfurled,
Finding an openness in the space between your ears and allow this sense of ease to drape down the neck,
Over your shoulders and your arms,
Allowing the torso to be gently moved by the flow of your breath,
Feeling the groundedness of your hips and your legs and allowing the support from the base of your body travel all the way up through your spine to the crown of your head.
And just notice if the body is communicating with you in any way here.
It may be communicating some forms of resistance to this practice,
Maybe through micro tension or a desire to fidget.
Welcome anything that you notice in the body and just let it be as part of this experience.
And if intuitively you choose to soften,
To lean in,
Or to relax any of these parts of the body,
Let that unfold,
Reminding the body that it is safe here in this practice.
No threats to your existence.
You are simply seated.
You are simply being.
Allow the breath to be a player in all of this as well.
Perhaps your inhales can create some more space for the parts of the body that feel clenched.
Maybe your exhales can bring about some ease and soothe the parts of the body that are fidgety.
And just notice the interconnectedness between what is happening in your body and the way that the breath responds.
You may also notice the mind attempting to play a role in this as well.
And you don't need to change that.
There's actually nothing in this experience that you need to change.
There's nothing you need to do.
Connect with a sense of ease.
Connect with your beingness.
All facets of your experience are welcome to be here.
Allow your awareness to be so expansive that every part of who you are in this moment can be here.
And allow yourself to appreciate the wholeness of it all.
Connecting with that ease of not having anything to do or anything to change.
And maybe by simply acknowledging that and connecting with that,
Things naturally do evolve.
Sometimes just meeting ourselves where we are can create the biggest change.
If there are any sounds circulating around you in the space you are in,
Welcome those in as well.
Letting them be reminders of the here and now.
And as you continue to expand your awareness of beingness,
Start to connect with your breath in the center of your being.
Feel it here in the center of your torso and just notice the way that it moves.
And with each inhale you take from here on out in this practice,
Allow the breath to expand further out in the body.
Let it expand from your center up into your ribcage and down into the pelvic area.
With the next inhale,
Allow it to expand up into your shoulders and down into your hips.
Letting the breath expand with your next inhale into the neck,
The face,
The thighs.
Expanding your inhales to reach down to the feet and up to the crown,
Down through your arms.
Allow your breath to be in the entirety of your body.
Let it take up space in every nook and cranny,
Every crevice.
Let your breath be big and bold.
And just notice how it feels to find this full body breath.
Don't decide where it ends,
Just let it continue expanding.
Let the breath find new areas of the body to take up space.
How does it feel to breathe into the parts of the body that feel tight?
How does it feel to breathe into the parts of the body that are in discomfort or pain?
How does it feel to breathe into the parts of the body that are already spacious and open?
Allow this full body breath to fill you with prana,
Life force energy.
And as you continue to breathe this way,
Connect your awareness with the edges of your body,
Feeling your skin,
Feeling where you are connected to the ground or wherever you are seated,
Feeling where you are connected to the air around you,
How it brushes against your skin.
And breathe all the way out to the edges of your body.
Perhaps you imagine the pores of your skin opening and expanding and also being breathed here,
Letting the breath gradually expand out beyond the physical edges of your body,
Letting your breath connect with the space around you.
Now as you allow the breath to expand into the room,
Imagine drawing your inhales from the space in through the crown of your head,
Down through the face,
The throat,
The heart,
And reconnecting with your center.
And as you exhale,
Imagine the breath traveling back up that same pathway through the heart,
The throat,
And out through the crown back into the space.
Letting the inhales be drawn in from beyond the body through the crown,
Down through the throat and the heart and into your center.
And allowing the exhale to reverse that pathway back out into the space.
However this feels for you,
Just notice if some sort of visualization is coming in for you,
Let it be there and use it to guide you.
Breathing in from the space through the crown,
Down to your center,
All the way back up and out.
As you continue to breathe through the crown of your head,
You might allow yourself to energetically connect with the upper world,
The celestial realm,
Mother,
Son,
The stars.
Connecting with this wise intuitive realm,
All of its wisdom coming down into your body through your breath,
Acknowledging yourself as being interconnected with this realm,
With this energy,
With this wisdom.
It is part of you,
You are part of it.
Breathe with it.
Continuing to allow any visualization that is arising in your intuitive mind.
Let it guide you,
Let it be integrated in this process.
How does it feel to know that you are connected with this realm?
How does it feel to breathe in reciprocity with this realm?
You can allow the crown to feel open,
Continue to feel connected to this space.
And now we will begin to draw our inhales up through the root chakra,
Drawing breath in from the earth,
Traveling up through the base of our body,
Up to our center,
Our solar plexus.
And as you exhale,
Allow the breath to travel down that pathway back into the earth.
Letting the breath come in,
Receiving the nutrients of the earth.
And letting your exhale reciprocate these nutrients back into the soil,
Into the core of the earth.
Connecting with a sense of groundedness,
Connecting with the unconditional love of Mother Earth,
Of spirit animal beings,
Connecting with abundance and the earthly gifts of nature.
How does this breath feel different in the body or energetically?
How does it feel to know that you are not separate from Mother Earth and all of her abundance and all of the energy of our spirit animal guides that wander the earth and share their gifts with us?
Again,
Trusting anything coming into your intuitive,
Creative mind.
Breathing in from the earth,
Breathing out in reciprocation.
Now,
Combining these two energies,
These two forms of breath,
We will draw the breath in from the earth up through the root,
Traveling through the solar plexus,
The heart,
The throat,
The crown,
All the way up,
Connecting with the celestial realm.
And as you exhale,
Imagine the breath circulating around your entire body and returning back down into the earth.
And from there,
Drawing your breath back in from the ground,
All the way up through the crown to the stars,
Letting your exhale circulate this energy all around you back into the earth.
As you find this circular breath of unity,
You may feel a sense of wholeness,
Of oneness,
Of support,
Of intuition.
Let yourself expand into this.
Know that you are safe here.
You are divinely protected,
Divinely guided,
Divinely loved.
Let yourself take up space in all realms of your being and slowly begin to allow your breath to soften and return back to a natural state,
Allowing any vision space to slowly dissipate,
Coming back to where you are in time and space,
Welcoming little bits of movement into the body as it feels good.
Perhaps very slowly blinking the eyes open,
Coming back to where you are.
If you feel called,
You can bring your hands together at the heart or up at the third eye.
Take a moment to bow to yourself,
To your highest self,
To all that you connected with in this practice,
Remembering that this is your true nature.
You are expansive,
Intuitive,
Creative,
And connected.
I appreciate your time and your energy.
Thank you for showing up.
I'll join you in the next practice.
Namaste.
