Welcome to Light of the World and I am Christine.

And this will be a brief,

Guided meditation on sorrow.

So we have all experienced some form in some depth of sorrow in our life.

It seems to be unavoidable.

And so here in this moment,

I want to encourage you and invite you just to allow the feeling and that emotion of sorrow to remain as we go on this journey of relaxation and acceptance with this emotion.

So come to a comfortable position.

Gently close the eyes if that is comfortable for you to do so.

And if not,

You can always just have the eyes open but a soft gaze off the nose.

Take in a few deep,

Full breaths.

And in this practice,

As we have our awareness on the emotion of sorrow.

We will just use a common and a simple mantra,

Connecting to our breath.

So as you continue to breathe,

Whenever you are ready.

Just begin to say this mantra internally to yourself.

On your inhale.

I accept and allow.

And on an exhale,

Sorrow to remain.

On an inhale.

I accept and allow.

And on the exhale for sorrow to remain.

Continue that mantra and breathing rhythm for as long as you need.

And just to cultivate an understanding that each individual sorrow is a journey of release and experience,

All in its own time.

So we often want to avoid or let go of uncomfortable emotions and keep those that we label comfortable or pleasing.

But understanding that we accept and allow sorrow to remain within us for as long as it needs to teach us a lesson or whatever that moment in time is meant to be.

That will allow us to face future situations with a little less resistance and discomfort.

So continue to breathe.

Continue that mantra for as long as you need.

And we will connect again soon.

Until then,

Breathe easy friends.
