Join me as I guide you through a body scan meditation that will help you bring more awareness to the present moment. As we move through the body, you are encouraged to just take notice, without judgement, of the sensations & thoughts that arise.

Welcome to my body scan meditation.

I invite you to find a comfortable position either seated or lying down where you can truly relax.

Start by taking a deep inhale in and let the exhale go and again a deep inhale in and sigh it out.

Let's start with the awareness at the top of your head.

Notice all the sensations inside and out and allow your awareness to move down to your forehead,

Across the eyebrows,

Over the eyelids,

Through both cheeks and through the mouth and jaw,

Relaxing any tension,

Any stress and then follow your awareness through the neck,

Through the shoulders,

Across the chest and down your arms,

Into your wrists,

Your hands,

Each finger and each thumb.

Your awareness will return back up to the chest and let it flow down the torso as you notice the gentle rise and fall of your body as you breathe.

We wake our way into the hips and the pelvis,

Down the legs,

Into the ankles and the feet and each one of your toes.

Notice this relaxation that you have throughout your entire body.

Again notice any sensations inside and around your body without judgment,

Remaining at peace.

Gently bring your attention to the bottoms of your feet and allow your awareness to slowly and gently move up the legs,

Through the pelvis and the hips,

Through your torso,

Your chest,

Your shoulders,

Your arms,

Your hands,

Into the neck,

Throughout the head until you reach the very top of your head.

When you feel ready start to add little wingles to your fingers and your toes.

Let the breath get a little deeper,

Adding larger stretches to the body.

Take a moment of gratitude towards your body scan meditation and take this sense of relaxation with you for as long as possible.

I thank you for taking part in my body scan meditation.

Namaste.
