Welcome to your solar meditation on releasing energy.
Bring yourself into any comfortable position that is going to be sustainable and nourishing to your body for the duration of this meditation.
Always remembering that you can change positions at any point in time if you're experiencing pain or discomfort.
There is no reason to force yourself through pain or discomfort here.
It's not going to prove anything or be useful.
Gather any props you need to support your body.
And as you begin to settle yourself physically,
Check in with your energy.
Just notice how your energy is feeling today.
Is there any part of you that feels shaken up,
Excitable,
Buzzing,
Overstimulated?
And these may be sensations that you actively avoid noticing,
So it may feel uncomfortable to witness these sensations full on.
Know that they are just feelings.
They are not actions.
They are not anything that you need to be scared of.
It's just your body communicating to you.
Just listen to that line of communication.
Hear what your body is saying to you through its energetic line.
And as you begin to settle yourself through pain or discomfort,
Just notice how your energy is feeling.
And as you begin to settle yourself through pain or discomfort,
Just notice how your energy is feeling.
You may begin to visualize yourself as the sun,
Glowing,
Radiant,
And energetic.
And even the sun,
Who is capable of storing such massive energy,
Needs to release and give off energy.
Sometimes this happens in bursts,
Solar flares,
Right?
Sometimes it happens in this steady way.
Just like you,
Sometimes your energy is released in bursts,
Sometimes its release is steady.
So try to sense,
See,
Envision,
Feel yourself as the sun.
This ball of light and energy.
And with each inhale,
Just be with that energy,
Feel that energy.
And as you exhale,
Mindfully release any amount of energy.
Just knowing that through your breath alone you're releasing energy.
Each inhale filling up,
Sitting with that stored energy.
And as you exhale,
Releasing it.
Maybe it helps to release out with a sigh,
And that may give you a sense of letting go of more of this energy that may feel overwhelming today.
So you can let this release be as mental or as physical as you like.
The mental release may come through visualization or just feeling and sitting with it.
Maybe the physical release comes through a sigh out,
The breath out,
Or maybe some type of physical movement on the exhale that is representative to you of releasing that excess energy that your body is storing right now.
So you can let this release be as mental as you like.
And as you exhale,
Release that energy.
And as you exhale,
Release that energy.
Excess energy in our body may be perceived as anxiety or excitement depending on the situation.
Maybe sometimes it just feels like a rush.
Maybe there's something else you perceive it of that I haven't stated here today,
And that's totally fine.
But remember that at the end of the day,
It's just energy,
Right?
And it can make us feel a certain way,
And that's real.
But it is just feelings and energy.
Continue to release energy with each exhale.
And you may sit here until you feel like you have released the perfect amount of energy for yourself,
Right?
Or maybe you already feel complete,
Like you've let go of just enough,
Right?
Let go of the energy that felt like it was bubbling over,
That felt consuming.
You can stay with this meditation as long as you'd like.
Or maybe this is the end of your practice today.
