Namaste.
For the next few minutes,
I invite you to allow yourself the time and space to simply do nothing,
To lie down in stillness,
Receive and enjoy this moment as it is.
You may choose to sit back on a comfortable chair or couch where you can feel held,
Undisturbed and relaxed.
Or you might like to lie down on a mat on the floor or even the bare floor if you're comfortable with that.
You may also enjoy this meditation outdoors,
Lying on a blanket on the grass or beach.
Wherever you may find yourself right now,
Trust that the earth and this moment are here for you.
And you deserve a little reprieve or pause from the hustle and bustle of your day.
Surrender in your comfortable position and sink low.
Feel the weight of your body anchoring you to the ground,
Keeping you safe,
Stable and connected.
Feel the way that the earth rises to meet you where you are,
Without any judgment.
How she cradles you and all that you carry,
The weight of your worries,
Tensions and heartaches.
You can let it all go.
You are safe here.
Just like Mother Earth,
You can meet your body where you are,
Without judgment,
Without expectations.
You belong here and you are welcome here.
Begin to feel the rising and falling,
Expansion and contraction of the breath moving within you.
The act of breathing is a form of self-care.
It brings new energy,
Nourishment and healing to your organs,
Muscles,
Skin and bones.
It is a gift that is available at any and every moment.
You simply need to slow down and receive it.
Bring one hand to the heart,
The other to your belly.
Breathe into the places where your hands touch your body.
Feel the expansion,
The tingling and the contraction of your body through your palms to the tips of your fingers.
Enjoy this breathing,
The sensations that you are experiencing,
The life that is moving through you.
And now expand your breathing to reach through to the top of your skull and the tips of your toes.
Allow yourself to be filled up with this breath,
This life force that sustains you,
Heals you and loves you very deeply.
Breathing in,
I listen deeply to this body that listens to me.
Breathing out,
I hold space for my deep inner truths.
Breathing in,
Listening deeply.
Breathing out,
Holding space.
Breathing in,
I take care of this body that takes very good care of me.
Breathing out,
I release the burdens that I carry.
Breathing in,
Caring.
Breathing out,
Releasing.
Breathing in,
I see my body that holds,
Protects and supports who I am.
Breathing out,
I honour and respect my body's strength.
Breathing in,
Witnessing.
Breathing out,
Honouring.
Breathing in,
I feel the unconditional love and protection that my body offers me.
Breathing out,
I am deeply grateful.
Breathing in,
Feeling the love.
Breathing out,
Feeling grateful.
Thank you,
Dear body.
I am here for you.
I love you.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes.
Shake your head from side to side.
When keeping your eyes closed,
You might like to gather your knees to your chest and wrap your arms around your legs.
Or you can simply embrace your heart.
Embracing this wonderful vessel that has held you for decades.
Thank you,
Dear body.
I am here for you.
I love you.
When you're ready,
You may open your eyes.
Thank you for the time and space to simply be.
Have a wonderful,
Peaceful day ahead.
Namaste.
