Good morning,
And welcome to a brand new day.
I like to begin each morning,
Taking just a few breaths,
Feeling grateful for whatever comes up for me in that moment,
Starting my day off with a sense of gratitude.
When we begin our day with gratitude,
We move through our day with more awareness,
More presence,
More kindness.
So maybe you start here just in this moment with your eyes closed or your gaze soft,
And you ask yourself,
What am I grateful for right now?
It doesn't have to be big.
It can be as simple as the blanket that's covering you and keeping you warm.
The smell of fresh coffee in another room,
The sound of your cat purring right next to you,
Or maybe even the sound of soft rain outside.
Begin with simple things,
The comfort of your bed,
Just noticing,
Just coming up with one or two things that you are grateful for in this moment.
Taking a deep inhale in and exhaling out.
Gratitude for this breath,
Inhaling in and exhaling out.
Gratitude for this moment,
Inhaling in and exhaling out.
Gratitude for a brand new day,
Inhaling in and exhaling out.
Gratitude for your body,
Inhaling in and exhaling out.
Gratitude for your mind,
Inhaling in and exhaling out.
Gratitude for all the potential in this new day.
Taking one last deep inhale,
Filling your lungs all the way up and at the top,
Sipping in just a little bit more air and then letting it all go with a quick sigh.
May your day be filled with so many beautiful things,
But mostly may your day be filled with awareness and presence of all the gifts interwoven through your life.
