Transcript

Begin this meditation by making your way into a position that is comfortable for your body.

As you feel ready,

Close your eyes softly and take a moment to ground yourself here.

Feel the connection between your body and the surface beneath you.

Take a deep breath in.

Hold it at the very top and exhale slowly to release.

Let each breath be a gentle reminder to be present in this moment.

As you continue to breathe naturally,

Bring your awareness to the sensations in your body.

Notice the subtle movements with each inhale and exhale.

Feel the rise and fall of your chest,

The gentle expansion and contraction of your abdomen.

There is no need to restrict your motions or force yourself to be in complete stillness.

You are free to rock here,

Wiggle and shake in order to allow yourself to fully be.

Now shift your focus to your surroundings.

Without attaching to any particular sound,

Simply be aware of the noises around you,

The hum of life unfolding in the present moment.

Return your attention to your breath.

Allow it to be your anchor.

Breath as an anchor.

If your mind begins to wander,

Gently guide it back to the sensation of your breath,

Cultivating a sense of peace and tranquility.

And take a final deep breath,

Appreciating and feeling stillness and peace within.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes and may you do your very best to bring the presence and calm cultivated in this meditation into the remainder of your day.
