I'm going to show you how to do a Samar Vritti which is square breaths.
And it's another balancing breath,
Another one that's great for calming you down.
I've used this one when I've been sitting outside interviews for jobs or meetings that I've had to go to and I've just felt shoulders up,
A bit tense,
A bit tight.
So,
As always,
We start in a nice,
Calm position.
By taking a couple of slow deep breaths.
And that just prepares your body and your mind thinking we're going to focus on the breath.
So we normally breathe in and out through the nose during our yoga practice.
If you can't do that for whatever reason,
Then breathe normally for you,
But still try to do it.
So Samavriti is square breath.
We inhale for a count of four,
We hold it for a count of four,
Exhale for a count of four,
And hold the retention for a count of four,
And you go round again.
If four's too much for you,
Start with three.
So we'll talk you through with four just now.
And then you can see how you get on.
So take a deep breath in,
Sit up tall,
Exhale relax your shoulders.
And heal too.
Hold 2.
Exhale to release.
And hold.
To That's one round of Samariti Square Breath.
So you can do up to five or a couple of minutes.
Anything that you can do will work well for you and as I said if we're Count fours too much.
Trying to count to three.
Go check out the video that I've made where I'm guiding you through it,
Talking you through it and let me know how you get on.
