Expect to learn to add a simple breathing practice for when you need a safe space. You will be reminded to be in the here & now, allowing yourself to breathe in all that's for you & breathe out all that's outside of your control. Being here with your breath, you are enough.

Welcome to breathing with Yasi.

I welcome you and honor you for the time and space that you're sharing with me.

We're just going to take a few moments to just breathe,

To just be here in this present moment because isn't that enough?

Just being here with ourselves,

Knowing and feeling our breath,

Feeling it go through our lungs,

Exhaling and inhaling.

It's the beauty of living.

So I just want you to take a moment or two and just try to get into a comfortable position,

Whether that's sitting up with your shoulders back or lowered,

Lying down,

Sitting on the floor,

Maybe you're still sitting in the car,

Wherever you may be,

Just make yourself feel more comfortable in whatever position that may look like.

And as you just heard me do,

We're just going to take a few deep breaths together.

So I just want you to inhale,

Exhale,

No specific amount of time,

Just breathe in and out at your own pace,

Whatever feels good for you.

I'm not here to tell you how to breathe,

To tell you to count your breaths in and out,

Just feel your body,

Feel your mind going through this exercise of inhaling and exhaling.

You carry so much tension,

So much weight with yourself throughout the day,

Whether you have a stressful job or something relaxing that you do.

I know for myself that I can get tense and feel the stress in my body physically.

I carry it within my shoulders,

My neck,

Oftentimes my stomach.

So just releasing,

Releasing this tension that you're carrying,

Allowing your body to just rest.

Inhale all the good that you've experienced in this day,

Allowing yourself a moment to just be grateful for maybe even one little small thing that happened in your day.

Maybe it was the fact that you were able to get out of bed,

As simple as that,

Or maybe you got an A on your exam,

Or maybe you made a little error,

But you tried,

You gave it your all.

You allowed for your actions to stay aligned with your values,

No matter what emotion you were feeling today.

You just allowed it to be,

And allowed yourself to feel all of your feelings,

And to know that that's okay,

That you are enough,

And in this moment right now,

Your breath is enough,

Knowing that you are here,

Living,

Breathing,

Taking everything in,

All that you've experienced in this day.

Heck,

Maybe all you've experienced in your life is coming back to you right now.

Whatever is in your mind,

Just allow yourself to breathe through it,

And breathe out it.

You have control right now,

You have control over your breath,

And if you're struggling to kind of get a hold of your breath,

To feel it,

Don't put so much effort into it,

Just let it be natural.

Our breath is natural,

Right?

So,

If you don't want to force it,

Or push it,

Or do these big inhales or exhales,

Just sit with yourself.

Just know that you're breathing,

That you're here in this moment,

That you're safe,

That you are enough,

And your breath is more than enough.

It's a sign that you are living,

You are in the here and now,

And nothing else matters.

Perhaps you have so many things that you need to do,

Whether it's a to-do list,

Or you have all these intentions,

Or things you'd like to manifest,

Or things that you'd like to do in the new year.

Just breathe.

Just know that in this moment,

In this breath,

You are safe,

You are in a safe space,

And allow yourself to hold this space for you.

So when you need to come back to your breath,

Whether you just need to let out some deep breaths,

Or just sit and hear and feel your natural breathing,

That this is a safe space for you to do so.

If you ever start to feel unsafe,

Or insecure,

Or unsure in your body,

You can always come back to the breath.

It will be there for you.

It will be waiting for you with joy,

And love,

And comfort,

Like a warm hug on a cold day.

That's just what you need.

So as you continue to breathe in and breathe out,

Just remember that this space,

What you're doing now,

Is a space that you can always return to.

Just allow yourself to be okay with that.

To know that right now,

If all you're doing is breathing,

Breathing in and out,

That's enough,

Because you are enough.

You can carry this practice wherever you go,

Whenever you may need it.

Just know that it's there for you,

And you are there for yourself.

Much love and namaste.
