Hello,
I'm Nathaniel Allenby,
And thank you for choosing this guided meditation,
Which is designed to teach you how to make your own mantra or daily affirmation.
Please silence your cell phone and minimize or remove any other distractions that may keep you from being fully present at this time.
You may want to get a pen and paper or journal to write down ideas that come to you to create your own personal mantra.
If you receive inspiration for words or phrases to include in your mantra,
Please write them down.
Let us settle into the present and into our bodies by beginning to focus on our breath.
Allow all other thoughts to simply float away like clouds evaporating on a warm spring day.
Our goal is not to become free of thought,
But simply not to engage with thoughts that come to mind,
Which keep us from being present or help create our own personal mantra.
As we inhale deeply,
Imagine all of the prana or life force entering into our bodies.
Imagine filling ourselves with healthy oxygen.
Visualize it flushing our blood cells,
Traveling in our veins,
Cleaning our muscles and organs,
Purifying our bodies of toxicity and dis-ease.
Let these deep inhales help our body flow into ease and harmony.
And as we exhale,
Imagine releasing everything that does not serve us in this moment.
We are letting go of all the things our body does not need.
Visualize the carbon dioxide exiting our lungs,
Taking with it any impurities and unhealthy cells out of our bodies.
Fully exhale until we have perched our lungs completely of all stale air before inhaling again.
Take a moment to pause while empty and give thanks to our body and its amazing ability to take care of us and keep us healthy.
Also take a moment of pause when we are full of breath,
Expressing gratitude for our existence.
Continue this deep breathing in whatever way feels most comfortable to you.
Mantras come from Hinduism or Buddhism,
And they are a word,
Phrase,
Or sound that is repeated to help us maintain concentration and presence in meditation and life.
They can also be used as a gentle reminder or a positive affirmation to help us stay present.
They can be a tool to bring us happiness and joy,
Or to keep us from negative,
Unconscious reactions,
As well as keeping us grounded.
A mantra can be as simple as a single word,
Or as complex as we can remember.
Your mantra might be,
Love,
Or I love and accept myself.
Or your mantra may be an inner monologue that reminds you of your core values and beliefs you hold close to your heart.
I recommend at least one to three phrases,
Which you can easily remember and repeat to yourself in times of need,
And also at the beginning and end of every day.
It brings wonderful feelings of happiness and joy to positively welcome each new day with our mantras.
It also sets the tone for our mindset and existence.
We can also rest more peacefully by giving thanks for each day when we repeat them before going to sleep each night.
Many mantras,
Including Sanskrit words or phrases like Namaste,
Which means I bow to you,
Or the divinity in me recognizes the divinity in you.
Other Sanskrit words you may want to include are Satya for virtue or truthfulness,
Bhakti for love,
Devotion,
Or love of the divine,
Ahimsa for non-harming or non-violence.
A few longer Sanskrit phrases with deep spiritual meanings are as follows,
Om Namah Shivaya,
Which means total consciousness is one,
Or we are all one part of total consciousness.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.
Lead us from darkness to light,
From ignorance to truth,
And from death to eternity.
Let peace prevail everywhere.
Loka Samastra Sukhino Bhavantu.
May all beings everywhere be free and happy.
And may the thoughts,
Words,
And actions of my own life in some way contribute to that happiness and to that freedom for all.
Gratitude is a combination of great and attitude,
And I highly believe that we benefit greatly by expressing gratitude somewhere within our mantras,
Especially at the beginning or the end,
Or both.
Your unique phrases can be the best reflection of your core values and principles,
And are meant to remind you of what you believe in the most,
And what you hold near and dear to your heart.
Chakras are often based on the chakra energy system,
Represented by phrase openers that allow you to make your own endings.
First,
Beginning with the lowest chakra,
The root chakra,
Or muladhara,
With the phrase I am.
Second is the sacral chakra,
Or swadhisthana,
With the phrase I feel.
Third is the solar plexus chakra,
Or manipura,
With the phrase I act.
Fourth is the heart chakra,
Or anahata,
With the phrase I love.
Fifth is the throat chakra,
Or vishuddha,
With the phrase I speak.
Sixth is the third eye chakra,
Or asana,
With the phrase I see.
Lastly,
The seventh,
Crown chakra,
Or sahasrara,
With the phrase I know.
You may want to include these phrases of power to further reinforce the traits and beliefs you want to express on a daily basis.
Kindness and compassion are great examples of wonderful ways to treat others and positive reminders to give to ourselves.
Your mantra may undergo multiple revisions before it feels complete for you.
I encourage you to reduce any unnecessary language,
Minimizing each phrase to its core principle,
And to refine your mantra to its simplest form.
I find it best to always work with the positive form of a concept instead of negating a negative form.
For example,
I will choose healthy actions,
Is more powerful than,
I will not do things that harm myself.
The easier your mantra is to remember,
And the more in alignment with your most essential beliefs it is,
The more it will resonate with you,
And the more likely you will be to repeat it to yourself in a time of need.
Let us take another few deep breaths now,
Letting our thoughts float away,
Centering back into our bodies.
Please come into a space of receptivity as I share with you my own personal mantra,
Which took several edited versions to complete and came from a variety of spiritual traditions,
Combined with my own personal phrases.
If any of my mantra deeply resonates with you,
You are welcome to use the phrases,
And I encourage you to make them your own.
I am a positive,
Peaceful,
And powerful being,
Making the world a better place.
I am happy and healthy.
I am constantly improving myself and training in all ways.
I am being the change I want to see in the world.
I feel the universal energy raising.
I feel gratitude for my life.
I act with consciousness and awareness of how my thoughts and actions create reality.
I act with dignity and integrity.
I love all things.
I speak only the truth.
I listen to my intuition.
I see beauty and good in all things.
I see many new opportunities to advance my interests.
I see my interconnectedness with all.
I know abundance,
Wealth,
And money will come to me from sources unexpectedly.
I know I will meet people who will guide me on my path and assist me in achieving my goals.
I know I attract people and things like myself.
I know my body is a temple,
And I treat it as such.
I give thanks for this wonderful day.
Be kind and gentle to yourself through this process,
And remember that a new habit usually takes three to six weeks to become ingrained in us.
Write your mantra in a beautiful,
Rant,
Wonderful way that you will enjoy seeing and reading.
Perhaps elegant handwriting or calligraphy will help.
Put it on your mirror or by your bedside or in another place that you will see it regularly.
You can share it with others or tell it to your children as a part of a nighttime routine.
Let your mantra fill you with hope and love,
Self-acceptance and peace.
Allow it to uplift you and serve you being your best self.
Let it be an embodiment of how you want to show up in the world,
Treating yourself and others with positivity,
Kindness,
And compassion.
Share your mantra in difficult times as well as good ones,
And it can truly transform your life.
Thank you for listening to this guided meditation.
I hope it inspires you in wonderful ways.
Feel free to return to it for further inspiration or to help others create their own personal mantra.
Namaste.

This was exactly what I was looking for today - it was wonderful. I am not sure why but I could barely hear, even at full volume. Thanks so much 🙏
