You know full well how important sleep is.
But that knowledge is like a boobie prize because you still struggle with getting yourself to sleep at a reasonable hour.
So why is it so hard,
Babe?
If you feel ashamed that you haven't mastered this basic need,
Or embarrassed that you're still trying to figure it out,
This EFT tapping guide is for you.
But before we begin tapping,
I want to invite you to place a hand on your heart if that feels good to you,
And let's take a few breaths together.
Now,
I want to invite you to tune in to the struggle you feel around getting to sleep in a good way,
And see if you can just feel in to the flavor of that resistance.
You know,
Just see if you can feel that resistance in your body,
Or in your energy,
In your soul,
In your spirit.
Okay,
So once you have that dialed in,
Let's begin by tapping on the fleshy outside of either hand,
What's called the karate chop point,
And just say as I say,
And do as I do,
And please feel free to use your own words if mine don't resonate with you.
Okay,
So we'll say the setup statement just once this time.
Here we go.
Even though I know my sleep patterns are hurting me,
And go ahead and repeat after me,
Even though I know my sleep patterns are hurting me,
Some part of me still refuses to change them.
And that must mean one thing,
I am actively sabotaging my sleep hygiene.
Okay,
Good.
I totally own it,
And I forgive myself.
Nice.
Okay,
Let's go right up to the top of the head,
Tapping around the points.
I would love to get to sleep at a reasonable hour.
Inside the eyebrow,
I would love to sleep soundly all night long.
Side of the eye,
I would love to wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and ready for my day.
Under the eye,
But none of that is happening for me.
Under the nose,
And that must mean one thing,
Under the mouth,
I am actively refusing to take care of myself in this area of my life.
Good.
Tapping on the collarbone,
I am totally resisting it.
Mm-hmm.
Under the arm,
Some part of me mustn't think I deserve to sleep well.
Top of the head,
Maybe some part of me is scared to create a good sleep routine.
Mm-hmm.
Inside the eyebrow,
Maybe getting some real rest would feel too different for me.
Side of the eye,
Maybe there's something in my history that goes against this.
Mm-hmm.
Under the eye,
Oh yeah,
I'm definitely sabotaging my sleep health.
Under the nose,
Nobody's making me ruin my sleep life.
Under the mouth,
It's all me and my vibration.
Collarbone,
I am actively blocking my self-care.
Under the arm,
I am refusing to create a good sleep routine.
Good.
Okay,
Let's go back up to the top of the head.
I'm letting the universe know.
Inside the eyebrow,
I am totally owning this.
Side of the eye,
I take full responsibility for this pattern.
Under the eye,
And I forgive myself.
Under the nose,
And as I forgive myself.
Under the mouth,
I get to become open.
Collarbone,
Open to all the ways this pattern could change.
Under the arm,
Open to letting go of this sabotage.
Okay,
Top of the head,
Last round,
Open to creating a fabulously luxurious sleep routine.
Inside the eyebrow,
Treating myself like a queen at bedtime.
Side of the eye,
Making sleep my favorite time of day.
Under the eye,
I've sabotaged myself long enough now.
Good.
Okay,
Under the nose,
It's time to try a different way.
Under the mouth,
Time to take a fresh start.
Collarbone,
Call myself back home to myself.
Under the arm,
And get the good rest I want and need.
Woo,
Wow,
That's a powerful tapping guide.
Okay,
Let's take a little stretch,
Take a sip of water,
Shake it out.
Yeah,
Okay,
And check in again to see how that resistance is feeling compared to the rest.
When we started,
So if you feel like you've gotten some relief from that resistance,
But there's more to go,
Just keep repeating these rounds of tapping until you start to feel that resistance really giving way to a bigger willingness to treat yourself like a queen at bedtime.
