Through breath, gentle awareness, and visualising deep, strong roots, you’ll begin to soften the grip of self-doubt and return to a steady sense of trust in yourself. You’ll be guided to notice tension, release the pressure to meet others’ expectations, and nurture a deeper connection with your truth, held by the earth, supported by your breath, and rooted in your worth. Perfect for moments of uncertainty, people-pleasing recovery, or anytime you need to feel more grounded and confident in your decisions.

Welcome to this sacred space of self-discovery and inner wisdom into your guided meditation.

Take a moment to get super comfortable because comfort is queen in a meditation.

If we can make sure that our body is supported with a backrest,

Maybe something underneath your knees or something,

A blanket covering you,

That can really help the body feel comfortable and at ease.

And through that comfort and ease,

You are more likely to come back and meditate further.

If the body is uncomfortable,

It can get distracted a lot easier and then you're less likely to come back.

So take a moment to wiggle,

To shuffle,

To stretch,

To fully arrive into your body,

Into this present moment in your seat.

And still with your eyes open,

Just begin to start to softly notice the space around you.

Just gently looking around,

In front,

Above and behind you,

Taking your surroundings fully in,

No matter how many times you've been in this space.

Taking it all in,

So that your nervous system and your mind can settle before you slowly doze into more darkness.

And then when it feels right,

Gently begin to soften the eyes.

Let's take a deep breath in together through the nose and gently letting it out through your mouth.

Begin to notice the temperature of the air on your skin,

The sounds both near you and far away from you.

There's no need to change anything here,

Just simply observe what's already there.

Feel the support beneath you and notice how your body naturally knows how to be held,

How it's softened and how it loves this support.

And this is your first lesson in trust,

In self-trust,

Knowing and trusting that your body knows.

To bring your gentle awareness to your breath,

Notice its natural rhythm,

The rise and fall,

The expansion and ease.

No need to change it,

Just simply witness how your body breathes itself.

And as you continue breathing,

Imagine roots beginning to grow from the base of your body.

Strong yet flexible roots extending down through all and any layers beneath you,

Through the floor,

The earth,

Any layers underneath you.

Growing deeper and deeper,

Letting the roots expand even more.

These roots,

These roots carry your inherited wisdom,

Your deep,

Deep knowing.

So can you feel into how they anchor you into your own truth right now?

Anchored,

Rooted into your truth.

Can you trust that?

Just for now,

Just in this moment.

Notice any sensations in your body as you connect to this rooted feeling.

Perhaps there's a warmth or a tingling or simply a sense of presence.

Whatever you experience is perfectly fine.

And when thoughts of others' expectations arise,

And they naturally will,

Just notice them with a gentleness.

See them as clouds passing in the vast sky of your awareness.

Or maybe visualize them or feel into them as a little pebble in a river flow.

The water flows and flows,

Goes across the pebble and then it continues its way.

Just allow these thoughts to pass and to go,

And for another one to come and then to pass and to go,

While your roots remain steady,

Strong and rooted down below.

If you notice any tension anywhere in your body,

Ease into it.

Breathe and relax into it.

Your shoulders,

Your jaw,

Your belly.

Offer it your soft attention.

This tension might hold stories,

Stories of times you adapted yourself to please others.

So just breathe gentle awareness into these spaces and remember and remind yourself and remind those areas of your body.

My worth isn't measured by others' approval.

It lives in every cell of my being,

In every breath,

In every heartbeat.

My worth isn't measured by others' approval.

It lives in every cell of my being,

In every breath,

In every heartbeat.

Feel the strength of your roots grow even deeper.

Assessing the wisdom of the earth itself,

The wisdom of all those who came before you and learnt to trust themselves.

And just very gently now,

As you're supported and held in this space,

Bring to mind a situation where you would typically doubt yourself.

Just bring it to mind.

Let's play a little pretend.

And notice as you start to bring that story up where you'd normally doubt yourself.

Just notice how it feels in your body.

Notice the tension,

The discomfort,

How does that doubt feel in your body?

And then breathe with me in through your nose,

And gently out through your mouth.

And then feel into your roots again,

Your connection to your own knowing,

Your right to trust your inner guidance.

No need to doubt anymore.

No need to stay in that story anymore.

Just bring your mind back to your roots,

To their strength and their comfort.

Grounding with stability,

Bringing you more into this moment.

And let's take three deep conscious breaths here.

With each inhale,

Let's do it now,

Draw up strength from your roots.

And with each exhale,

Release any need for external validation.

Let it go.

And again,

Breathe it in,

Draw up strength from your roots.

And with each exhale,

Release any need for external validation.

One more breath together here.

Breathe it in.

And breathe it out.

Ease and soften.

And before we close,

Take a moment now to really truly thank yourself.

It's not easy taking this time,

It's not easy diving into these edges.

So thank yourself for taking this time for you,

For nurturing your own relationship with your own wisdom,

And for practicing the art of self-trust.

As gentle and simple and basic as it is.

Take a moment to thank yourself.

And when you're ready,

Begin to slowly move your fingers,

Your toes,

Keeping this rooted connection as you gradually return to a more conscious and alert state.

Knowing that you can access this grounded self-trust at any time.

Thank you for spending this time with me and for meditating together.

I hope that we will come back to share this space again and again.
