Hello and welcome to your Hunter's Full Moon Mini Cacao Ceremony.

So maybe you've already made your cacao just waiting for it to cool a little bit.

Or maybe you're still preparing your elixir.

We're going to actually begin by having a little brief chat.

A little bit of an acknowledgement of cacao before we begin.

Which is really important to respect the tradition.

So cacao has been a sacred part of the cultures of what we now call Central and South America for at least 3000 years.

There's evidence of it being consumed in a ritualistic or religious manner and even treated as currency.

Another fact that we need to acknowledge and respect is that these parts of the world have suffered various kinds of pillaging and oppression for the last 500 years or so.

First at the hands of the Spanish Conquistadors.

Now by developed nations and their corporate influences.

Including the chocolate industry here in Europe.

So we first begin our practice today by acknowledging and honouring the indigenous people who have kept the cacao traditions alive all this time.

We acknowledge that systematic oppression and cultural stealing have and still do occur in the world.

So in our mini cacao ceremony tonight with the hunters full moon we want to cultivate respect and cultural appreciation.

We want to give the cacao ceremony the reverence that it deserves.

Today we use cacao as plant medicine.

As a tool for wellness and health.

It helps us to slow down.

Helps us to open and balance our heart chakra.

And access our inner wisdom.

Some traditions,

Including the indigenous cacao keepers,

Believe that every plant,

Psychedelic or not,

Has a spirit.

In times gone by humans lived a lot more in harmony with nature,

With the natural world,

Than we do now.

And so our plants are intelligent,

Alive beings and healers in their own right.

On the most simple basic level,

This is why we use supplements,

Herbs,

Superfoods and adaptogenics now.

It's also a way to connect with this primal wisdom.

And now we are connecting with the spirit of cacao.

With great respect and humility to our ancestors.

So if you have your cacao,

We are going to pause another moment before we take our first sip together.

And contemplating this hunters full moon.

So this is the time of year that references the fact that farmers have cleared their fields.

And hunters could easily spot animals fattening up ahead of the winter.

This full moon is not the time to manifest.

Instead it's the time to release emotions.

The emotions that make you feel uncomfortable or anxious.

You can start this process through meditation,

Journaling or even saging or home with the window open.

It's a really good time to declutter.

If the big clear out is a bit overwhelming,

Then release some small things that no longer serve you.

Just to symbolically make space for what you desire to flow into your life.

During hunters moon we often feel a collective heightened sense of anxiety.

And resentment even about things that aren't going well despite your best efforts.

To calm the mind it's always a good idea to move the body.

The focus shouldn't be on the pace of the movement or burning calories.

Instead slowing down and watching your breath.

And consciously trying to register the texture of the ground that you happen to be on.

Whether it's grass or sand or even your yoga mat.

Connecting with nature is one of the fastest and most effective ways to stay calm.

And even during your cacao ceremony as you're drinking your cacao,

Don't be afraid to move,

To sway.

To do whatever your body is calling out for you to do.

The hunters moon asks us to see the beauty that lives inside of us.

Embracing our flaw,

Our perceived flaws and everything that makes us unique.

And it's a process that begins with this hunters moon.

Don't run away from your subconscious and your shadow side.

It's a part of who you are.

It needs to be seen and nurtured and healed.

And doing so gives us a chance to understand the depths of ourselves that are rarely seen.

They require compassion and empathy too.

Once we do that we can move forward and transform our lives for the better.

So we are ready to begin our cacao.

If you haven't already I'd love you to maybe light a candle if you can.

It's a wonderful way to energetically and symbolically connect a ritual circle.

Whether that's in person or virtual.

We don't need to be sitting physically side by side to create a sacred circle.

As energy is omnipresent.

So if you haven't already maybe light a candle.

Close your eyes for a few seconds and visualize you and I sitting side by side.

Holding this sacred space together.

Let's connect to each other.

And the divine feminine.

Harnessing the feminine lunar energy.

And the feminine spirit of cacao.

Take your cup now in both hands and bring it to your heart center.

Repeat out loud or in your mind.

Thank you Mama Cacao for this precious moment.

Thank you Mama Cacao for allowing me to feel.

Mama Cacao I welcome your spirit into my heart.

Mama Cacao I expand my heart's ability to give and receive love.

Mama Cacao I expand my heart's ability to give and receive affection.

Mama Cacao I expand my heart's ability to give and receive affinity.

Mama Cacao I expand my heart's ability to give and receive mercy.

Mama Cacao I expand my heart's ability to give and receive.

To Gaia,

Earth and the elements.

Fire,

Earth,

Water,

Air,

Ether.

I give thanks.

I call upon my highest self to guide me in this ceremony.

Take your first sip.

And as you do,

Allow yourself to feel.

Open yourself up to the connection to cacao's essence.

It's strong,

But it's serene.

It's a feminine presence.

A keeper of ancient,

Sacred wisdom.

That can help us to find the wisdom in ourselves.

Take your second sip.

And as you do,

Allow Mama Cacao to assist you in the opening and balancing of your heart chakra.

Allow the cacao to be a gateway to hearing your own inner spirit and your own inner wisdom.

As you take your third sip,

Invite Mama Cacao into your heart.

And give her permission to assist you with your self discovery today.

As you continue to sip at your leisure.

Think about what you want to let go of under the light of this full hunter's moon.

And imagine a powerful white or silver beam shining down the top of your head.

Allowing the entire being to become soaked up by the pure and serene energy of this loving light.

And as this loving light moves through your body,

Soften any stress or tension that you're holding in the physical body.

Softening the face,

The jaw,

The forehead.

Giving yourself permission to release energetic blocks and soften those shoulders down.

As you continue to sip,

Inhaling and exhaling.

Letting your muscles relax and letting go of all the worries and tasks that have been holding you down.

Focus on being in a present state of mind here.

And placing your trust in the glowing light,

Powerful energy emanated by the full moon.

On the strong but serene feminine energy of Mama Cacao.

I'll be here holding space for you as you continue to sip.

And in five minutes I'll gently close the ceremony together.

If you need some more time with Mama Cacao,

Feel free to pause.

And if you're closing this mini ceremony with me,

Thank you so much for joining me.

For being in this sacred circle together.

If you want to extinguish your candle,

I invite you to extinguish it by removing the oxygen source.

Maybe covering it rather than blowing it out.

Just the more traditional way in respecting the element of fire.

Adding in a yogic tradition here to close.

Bringing the hands together into a mudra,

Anjali mudra.

Into a prayer position.

Letting your thumbs rest against your chest.

Taking one final big deep breath into your heart space.

And exhaling with gratitude.

Gratitude to Mama Cacao,

To the full moon and to yourself.

Thank you for being here.

Namaste.
