Close your eyes if that feels right.
And then take a breath,
A real one.
Not a tiny little nervous breath.
My foreground.
In and out.
In again,
In and out.
Let your jaw loosen.
Let your hands soften.
Let your forehead relax.
You are here And for the next few minutes,
You're gonna practice something powerful.
You're going to practice not being owned by whatever happens today.
Because something may happen.
Someone may be rude.
Something may even go sideways.
The plan may break.
Ah,
Memory may stink.
A body ache may show up.
A little wave of stress may roll through.
And that is life.
That is the deal down here.
But here's the part of the matters.
You don't have to become the wave.
You don't have to become the stress.
You don't have to become the anger.
You can feel it.
You can notice it.
You can let it move through.
And you can stay rooted.
Now,
Imagine yourself standing like a tree.
Your feet or roots Your spine is the trunk.
Your breath is the wind moving through the branches.
Now the weather may change,
But the tree doesn't panic because the sky gets cloudy.
The tree doesn't take every storm personally.
And bands.
Never ends and stays.
So take a slow breath in.
And then breathe out gently.
Feel that.
I can bend without breaking.
So again,
Breathing in and then breathing out.
I can feel without falling apart.
So now,
Imagine one possible irritation from your day.
No,
Nothing too heavy.
Just something ordinary.
Traffic,
A message,
A delay,
A person being difficult.
A task you don't want to do.
So,
Just see it for a second.
And then breathe.
Instead of tightening around it,
Make space around it instead of saying,
Why is this happening to me?
Try this.
This is part of today.
Just that.
This is part of today.
Not the whole day.
Not the end of the world.
Just part of the day.
And I could meet it.
Take a breath.
This is part of today.
And another.
I can meet it with grace.
This is the practice.
Grace doesn't mean pretending everything is wonderful.
Grace means you don't let the hard things steal your whole soul for the day.
Grace means you pause.
You breathe.
You respond instead of explode.
You learn what the moment is trying to show you Maybe it teaches patience.
Maybe it even teaches boundaries.
Maybe it teaches humility.
Maybe it teaches you to slow down and stop carrying the entire world on your back.
Whatever comes.
There can always be wisdom in it.
Even the uncomfortable parts.
And especially the uncomfortable parts.
Now feel your breath again.
Simple,
Steady.
And,
Of course,
Yours.
So silently repeat.
I don't need an easy day to have a good day.
I don't need perfect people to stay peaceful.
I don't need everything to go right to remain steady.
I can meet this day with grace.
Let those words settle into the body.
Not just the mind,
The body,
The shoulders,
The chest.
The belly,
The hands.
You can move through today differently.
Not numb.
Not fake.
Not pretending.
But steady.
Clear.
Human.
Kind and of course strong.
So take one final slow,
Grand hand.
And then slowly let it out.
Today,
The weather may change,
But you are the tree,
Rooted,
Breathing,
And still here.
Good work today and namaste.
