Chidakasha Dharana is a traditional yogic meditation that focuses on the "inner space" or "mind's screen" known as Chidakasha, located behind the closed eyes and in front of the forehead. Practice: Position: Sit comfortably in a meditative posture, keeping the spine straight and hands resting on the lap. Eyes: Gently close your eyes and draw your attention to the space in front of your closed eyelids. Observation: Observe this inner space without trying to modify or judge any patterns, colors, or images that may appear. Focus: Maintain a passive and detached awareness, letting any thoughts or distractions come and go without attachment. Deepening: As you continue, the inner space may become vast, deep, and more profound, leading to a sense of inner peace and stillness. Objective: The goal of Chidakasha Dharana is to cultivate a calm and undistracted mind, paving the way for deeper states of meditation and self-realization.

Welcome to this deep dive into Shadakasha,

Dharana,

The exploration of inner space of consciousness.

As we journey layer by layer,

Allow yourself to be fully present,

Releasing external distractions.

Find a quiet sanctuary where you can sit undisturbed.

Settle into a comfortable position,

Ensuring your spine is straight,

Shoulders relaxed,

And hands resting gently on your lap.

Now gently close your eyes.

Take a deep breath,

Nourishing breath in,

Feeling the air fill your lungs,

And then exhale slowly,

Releasing any immediate concerns.

Continue this deep breathing just for a moment,

Allowing each cycle to anchor you.

Now direct your attention to the space in front of your closed eyes.

This inner realm may at first seem dark,

But as you continue to observe,

You might notice subtle movements or hues of color.

Whatever emerges,

Simply just witness it.

There's no need to interpret or analyze,

Just observe with a gentle focus.

Visualize this inner space as an expansive,

Limitless sky.

Clouds of thoughts or images might drift by.

Watch these clouds with attachment,

Understanding their fleeting nature.

As you continue observing,

You might see patterns or light formations.

Allow them to flow and change,

Painting your inner canvas with their transient beauty.

Refocus now on the Chidakasha.

As you delve deeper,

The space might appear more luminous or even more profound.

Let yourself be immersed in this vastness,

Feeling a deepening connection to your innermost self.

Thoughts or memories may still drift by.

Just acknowledge them and let them pass,

Returning your focus to the vast inner space.

Feel the profound serenity this space offers.

Imagine yourself floating in this infinite expanse,

Where the boundaries of self begin to blur,

And you merge with the vastness.

Let yourself be enveloped by this tranquility.

Feel the stillness,

The depth,

The profound sense of calm.

Once again,

Direct your focus to the Chidakasha.

With each exploration,

You're diving deeper into consciousness,

Being closer to the essence of your being.

Patterns,

Colors,

Or even visions may emerge.

Observe them with detachment,

Understanding their transient nature.

Your primary focus remains the vast,

Boundless inner space.

Now shift your attention to the breath.

Feel the cool air entering your nostrils,

And the warm air flowing out.

Let your breath anchor you,

Providing a rhythmic pulse to your observation.

Now imagine that with each breath,

You're drawing in the tranquility of the Chidakasha,

And with each exhale,

You're releasing any remnants or tension of restlessness.

Now return your focus to the Chidakasha.

As you journey deeper,

You might feel an even stronger connection to this inner realm.

Let yourself be fully present,

Observing any changes or patterns that emerge.

Thoughts or images might still appear.

Greet them with a gentle nod,

And then let them drift away,

Keeping your focus on the vastness of the inner space.

Feel the profound peace that this space offers.

Imagine yourself being cradled in this infinite expanse,

Where the self merges with the cosmos.

Let yourself be bathed in this serenity.

Feel the stillness,

The depth,

The profound sense of oneness.

Once more,

Direct your focus to the Chidakasha.

This is your deepest exploration,

Reaching the innermost layers of consciousness.

After a few moments of deep observation,

You begin to become aware of your surroundings.

Feel the ground beneath you,

The air around you.

Slowly introduce movement back into your body,

Starting with your fingers and toes.

Stretch gently if you wish.

When you feel fully present,

Open your eyes,

Carrying with you the profound depth and tranquility you've tapped into.

Good work,

And Namaste.
