Find yourself in a comfortable position,

Whether that's laying down,

Sitting up with back straight,

Or with back up against a wall.

Finding a position that's going to allow you to focus while feeling comfortable,

Safe and secure.

As you settle in,

Notice where your mind is.

Perhaps your mind is going a mile a minute.

Perhaps it's quiet,

Just noticing.

As you settle in,

Taking three deep breaths in through the nose for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Letting it out through the mouth with a deep sigh.

With each inhale and exhale settling deeper into the present moment.

And as you take your final deep breath,

Begin by bringing your awareness to where the base of your spine meets the floor.

I want you to start to envision that there is a large tree root permeating from the base of your spine,

Reaching down into your floor.

See this root as an extension of you.

Allow the root to move through your floor,

Seeing it as it expands and moves throughout the various layers of the structural building that you are in at this moment in time.

You witness your roots,

Bring awareness to your breath.

Not needing to change it or for it to be a certain way.

Just noticing.

Perhaps it's short or long.

Perhaps it feels calm or fast paced.

Simply allowing the simplicity of your awareness to bring you to a place of calm rather than using any type of force.

Breathing here.

Every inhale,

Seeing your roots expand wider around you.

And with every exhale,

Seeing them surge deeper below you.

Allow your roots to permeate the earth that is holding the physical structure that you are in.

See them go into the layers of grass,

Of dirt,

Of deep,

Deep earth.

Allow yourself to witness your roots move towards the earth's core.

Imagine a fiery ball of deep,

Deep red.

A simple yet basic round but powerful ball.

A powerful core.

Allow your roots to flow into the core.

Breathing here.

And feel the warmth of the heat to the core.

And in your body,

Feeling this sense of connectedness.

As you inhale and exhale,

Starting to witness the energy that flows between you and this place of deep,

Grounded core.

A core that you are connected to and rooted in.

You may sense connection.

You may physically see connection or a flow of energy.

Whatever comes,

Allow yourself to be open to your experience.

Taking a moment to be where you are in this place of grounded connection.

Breathing it all in.

And witnessing the breath move in through the nose,

Down through the body and roots.

And as you exhale,

Witnessing the energy flow back upwards through your body,

Your pelvis,

Your core,

Your heart,

Your throat.

And outwards towards the sky.

Just being in this moment and allowing yourself to witness each and every breath.

No need to change the way that it looks or feels.

Simply allowing yourself to naturally calibrate to this sense of groundedness through this simple awareness of your internal connection to the earth.

A feeling of safety,

A feeling of wholeness and simplicity,

A feeling of security.

Breathing here.

Witnessing each inhale and exhale.

Allowing each inhale and exhale to cultivate deeper connection.

And now as you start to bring your awareness back to the walls around you.

Starting to connect to where you physically are in space.

Feel the comfort within the space of which you are in.

The warmth,

The safety and security.

Allowing what you have cultivated internally to trickle out into your external world.

Starting to bring some gentle movements to your fingers and your toes.

And when you're ready,

Opening your eyes with a renewed sense of groundedness.
