Today we're diving into unlocking our daily potential through a deeper understanding of the practical applications and the ancient wisdom of the Ayurvedic clock and what this ancient wisdom can offer us.

This is a really special episode where I share a live session I hosted for a group of 65 people.

In this session we talked all about the Ayurvedic clock,

A powerful tool to optimize your energy and enhance your spiritual well-being.

So we're going to be taking the time to delve into the various doshas and how they influence our life,

Our energy,

And how we can help discover perfect times for us to sort of work and rest and engage in self-care and provide those key practical tips that align with our regular daily activities as human beings so that the Ayurvedic clock can really be used as that tool that enhances not only our productivity but our overall well-being,

How we flow through life,

And how we cultivate balance.

So I'm so excited to bring this episode to you.

Let's dive in.

The Ayurvedic clock was created through Ayurveda and so these are yogic principles or a yogic or a yogi science I guess you could say.

And so people within India and within the East have been studying and using nature's rhythms to flow through life effortlessly but with conscious effort for thousands of years,

Right?

So it's not a new science and it's not new age.

And so it's all about supporting the dominant energy that resides within you.

And so like I mentioned we're all made of different energetic components.

It's how we were born and I believe how we were born or the energetic components that make up our unique I guess sequence within I believe is it's chosen by us before we are born because we have certain lessons that we want to move through in life.

And it's kind of like our little energetic toolkit.

And so we say I want to be born with more fire or I want to be born with more watery earthy energy or I want to be born with more air energy.

And the reason why we say this is because we know that we're wanting to get to a certain level in our own evolution.

And so we know that those specific energetic components are going to be the components that are going to help get us there.

And then we know that nature and the cosmos are going to support in direct alignment with those energetic components.

And so let's talk about the Ayurvedic clock.

So the Ayurvedic clock is made off of the principles that each day we move through three doshas.

Vata,

Pitta and Kapha.

And so the day is divided into six four hour cycles.

And you can kind of think of it as we flow through some of the turbulent,

Chaotic parts of our day,

The fiery parts of our day,

As an example,

To calm and to more flowy and to more ease like water energy.

And so at 6am we have dawn within the Ayurvedic clock and then we have you know Kapha energy from 6 until 10.

And so from 6 until 10 we have this earthy watery Kapha energy that can actually feel quite heavy for us.

And that's why it's actually a really healthy practice to rise with the sun.

Because as we move throughout our day,

I don't know if you've ever felt this way before,

But sometimes if we're waking up past 10am,

Because we're moving into fiery energy already and we've sort of slept through all of that Kapha heavy energy,

We may actually feel like it's harder to awaken from sleep.

It's harder to get out of bed,

It's harder to get up.

And so they actually say that from dawn,

6 until 10am,

It's a good time to move the body when you wake up in the morning.

And this could be something as simple as stretching in bed,

Doing that lovely overhead stretch that we always see recreated in movies and things like that.

Because there is something about really stretching and starting to get the energy of the internal system moving.

And then having something really light to eat.

So for me in the morning,

This is starting with a glass of lemon water or lime water because I like fruit in the morning.

And the acidics actually help with digestion and help with not getting like a glucose spike from the fruit.

So that's what I like to have in terms of a light meal.

And then our digestion starts to flow right.

And so usually we have we usually have elimination happen in the morning.

And so that's a really good practice.

And if you're noticing that's happening more for you,

Then that's excellent because we want to be eliminating what does not serve whether that's energetically,

Physically,

Emotionally,

Or mentally.

And then from 8 to 10,

It's a great time to start preparing for your day gathering energy,

Right?

Grounding that energy that you're gathering into the body and really setting the tone for the day from a grounded place.

And then from 10am to 2,

It's really when the sun starts to become highest in the sky.

And so this is when we are,

You know,

From morning,

We're really starting to plan and organize,

Okay,

What are we going to do today?

What are the conscious actions I'm going to take?

And that could be for your own spiritual growth,

Or your own emotional growth,

Mental growth,

Physical growth.

But it can also be towards,

You know,

If you're working towards planning your day and planning your schedule for the day,

Planning your meetings that you're going to attend for the day.

And starting to get organized from morning until noon.

And then noon,

Around,

You know,

11 to noon is a wonderful time to take action.

So that's actually exactly why I have these sessions around noon on Thursdays,

Because it's a wonderful time to take action on the conscious intentions that you want to bring forward in the world,

Because it's the fiery point of the day,

The earth will be very supportive towards you in really moving those actions forward.

And then from between 12 and two,

It's,

They say it's great to have your heaviest meal of the day,

Because it's a fiery part of the day,

It's going to really help with your digestion.

So I know sometimes we're taught to,

You know,

Dinner is our heaviest meal of the day.

But I've actually tested this in in trying to eat not,

Not,

Not eating dinner,

I still eat dinner.

But eating more heavy midday has really helped me to cultivate more energy throughout my day.

And so what I'll do is I'll eat my heaviest meal of the day.

And then around two o'clock,

It's said that we have high metabolism.

And so because of this high metabolism,

It allows your body to digest with the help of the fire energy.

And then from two to six,

Great time for movement,

Communication,

Socializing,

And then having your last meal.

And so typically,

After my heaviest meal of the day,

When that high metabolism is working,

That's when I integrate some movement.

And so because it's also we're moving into that energy and communication,

It's not only communication with those around you,

And a great time for like meetings,

Calling up,

You know,

A relative or a friend that you haven't talked to in a really long time,

That energy or from two to six is also a great time to go for a walk,

Especially after you have a heavy meal to really like move that food energy through the body.

But also,

Walking is a great time to create space and connection for your conversation with nature,

And the cosmos and the divine.

And so that's actually when I get a lot of my personal sort of downloads and wisdom come when I'm out walking after my heaviest meal of the day.

And then after you have your last meal of the day,

And you're sort of,

You know,

You socialize,

You've done all your communication for the day,

Around dusk is when we start to come back into that heavy kappa energy.

So you may have noticed that after you have,

If you have a really heavy dinner,

Sometimes you just want to like lie on the couch,

Like I don't even want to do the dishes,

Because I'm so tired.

And a lot of it's because,

Especially if we've had our meal closer to like seven or eight o'clock,

It's because it's kappa energy again.

And so similar to morning,

We're moving back through that cycle,

And it starts to get really heavy.

And so it's a wonderful time for starting to assimilate,

Slow down,

Go within,

And just reflect on your day,

Right?

Ground the energy of your day,

Because throughout your day,

You've collected energy,

Perhaps some unwanted energy,

As well as some energy that you need for your journey.

But you've also,

You know,

Had a lot of experiences,

And every experience that you move through in life has,

You know,

A message for you.

And it might not be a cognitive message,

It might just be something that sits with you until the time is right,

And then it resurfaces again.

And so all of these memories,

All of these experiences need to be really assimilated and integrated into your,

I guess your treasure chest.

I like to think of the heart as our treasure chest,

Because the soul journeys far and wide,

Even beyond this life.

And so we're sort of collecting all of these experiences for the journey of our soul's evolution.

And so a wonderful time from six until ten to really go within and start preparing for sleep.

And so what you'll probably notice is if you fall asleep between 8 and 10pm,

You probably will fall asleep faster.

And I mean,

If this is not part of your practice,

And you consider yourself a night owl,

Then you probably,

This isn't going to resonate with you.

But I can tell you that it can shift.

So I was a night owl,

I was somebody who probably stayed up until like the wee hours of the morning.

And then once I started to really come home to my true nature,

I go to bed between eight and 10 o'clock,

I usually try to be asleep by 10.

Because when we're asleep by 10,

The clock switches back into pitta energy,

Which is that fiery energy again,

And allows our bodies to really,

I want to say,

Like detoxify from our day,

Whether that's energetically,

Physically,

Emotionally,

Mentally,

Spiritually,

We're able to start to detoxify.

And that fiery energy is not used,

It can and probably used for digestion a little bit.

But that's why we want to eat a lighter meal at dinner.

So yes,

Mark says a cleansing fire.

We're really cultivating that cleansing fire at night.

Throughout the night,

You'll really have this sensation of this cleansing fire.

And the more your body purifies over time,

You'll actually perhaps even start to feel like that fiery presence within like,

Like actual heat sensation within.

So from 10pm to two is really when we're having that deep transformation,

Dreams and our subconscious action.

And as you move through your spiritual journey,

When you have the cleansing fire,

As Mark has mentioned in the chat,

You are really able to either witness consciously or unconsciously through dreams,

What is being cleansed from your physical body,

Your spirit,

On your journey of evolution.

And so that's a really interesting time of night to really experience the cleansing fire.

And then from 2am to 4am,

We have light sleep.

And this is because this is back to energy.

And this is when the elimination from the fire that has cleansed our being starts to happen.

And so they say that like around 4am to 6am is a wonderful time to meditate to connect to the divine.

And this is because it's a wonderful time,

Again,

To communicate right that energy is all about smooth communication.

Like think of air,

It's thin,

Right?

It's not,

We're not moving through like the thickness of the physical plane or kappa energy.

And so we can actually hear what the divine is saying to us,

The messages are more clear coming through.

But it's also important to know that,

You know,

We have messages from the earth plane and messages from the sky or the heavens,

You could you could also call it.

And so the messages become more clear.

And sometimes you don't actually have to be in like a seated position,

You know,

Meditating,

If that's not your practice,

And something that doesn't resonate with you.

Like I've had a lot of these meditative experiences,

Just lying in bed.

So as I've moved from the fiery purifying energy,

Lying in bed,

Witnessing,

You know,

What has been cleansed,

And then witnessing the wisdom that source energy has for me for that day.

And then at 6am,

As the sun rises,

Again,

We move through the cycle again.

And these are the cycles of our daily clock with nature,

The Ayurveda clock.

And 6am is a great time to think about what you want to create in life.

What are you going to create in your day,

Asking yourself a question without needing to know the answer.

Because when we ask ourself a question about what the day is going to hold for us,

We're actually able to create space for the magic to come in without forcing any outcomes or forcing any structure.

As we close our beginner's journey through the Ayurvedic clock,

I kind of feel like you too,

Were part of this live event.

They say there is no past or future.

And that all really exists in this now moment.

And that each moment is an opportunity for both growth and harmony.

So I'm really excited that you were able to be part of this live event in this new moment.

And I'm wishing you the most beautiful day.
