
4 Stages Of The Spiritual Heart

So we'll begin with just closing your eyes and taking some big deep breaths,
Finding yourself a comfortable seat where you can lean back from being somewhat forward focused to,
So that might be extrovert to being a little bit more introverted in this moment,
Leaning back into your spiritual channels which are actually in the back side of our bodies.
We receive divine flow vertically and horizontally but when we receive it vertically we actually receive it in through the back side and when we soften and lean back and rest or lean into ourselves we're actually connecting into our spirits,
Into our heart,
Into our soul,
And into grace.
And then from the soles of your feet you can just imagine that roots are going to grow through the soles of your feet connecting you down further in towards the ground sort of surrendering to gravity a bit.
Just take some deep breaths and let those roots grow and then at the same time we'll just imagine that our grounding cords are strong and connected from our hips to the center of the earth and the grounding cord is your pipeline to relaxation,
To stability,
To letting go.
So your grounding cord isn't a you know a small cord from the tailbone it's actually a wide cord from the sides of your hips,
The front of your pelvis,
The back of your sacrum,
Like a nice solid you know pipeline that goes straight down through the layers of the earth and it goes deep into the core.
It sprouts its roots into the core and any time we hear the phrase let go I need to let go you know I know I need to let go what does let go mean?
For the sake of tonight and energy healing I'm gonna invite you to imagine that your body is going to let go of energy down your grounding cord kind of like a laundry chute you're just sending anything that doesn't serve you down through that grounding cord where it will be transformed in the center of the earth.
Good and then I'd like you to imagine that there is a great sphere of gold light around the outside of your energy field so your energy field is beyond your skin it's about 12 to 18 inches beyond your skin and that's your aura and there's some gold light all the way around your aura and if visualization doesn't come easy to you then just intend that it's there and take some deep breaths into that and we'll just let that gold light hug our energy close to our bodies to give us a nice hug from our energy field it feels like a protective cushion perhaps and then we'll just pray together that our crown chakras above our heads are open like a funnel towards the heavens or towards above us and that we're receiving grace in through the top of our heads and then that grace flows along the length of the spine and the center of the torso through each of our power centers and chakras as it flows all the way down through to the base of our body take a deep breath in and breathe that light in through the top of your head and on an exhale just let go of something let go of something you're holding on to right now let it go down your grounding cord you and we're just gonna imagine here that there's some divine support for you so if you can imagine that there's a that hand of an angel an angel comes behind you and just places its hands right on the back of your heart so just imagine that the angel places its hands on the back of your heart and you're leaning in to receiving that comfort and then just imagine here that as you're leaning in and centering yourself in the center of your heart that you're going to listen and receive this information that will that I'll be talking about tonight from your heart not from your head from your heart your head will want to get concepts but the transformation happens when we receive information deeper in our bodies specifically around the heart and your soul will decide to take it or leave it you know accept it or reject it so I just invite you to be centered in your heart as I'm just take journey journeying with you through the heart opening or spiritual opening talking about that so when we are coming into this life this experience this body we're mission our primary mission on this earth is to find our way home so find our way home back to source and that experience of source in our body of home in our body or spirit within our body is something that we actually live with or have access to in our day-to-day life so we're brought into our bodies as these young babies were so pure and innocent and in our in present very present with that spirit with our spirit and motivate or move from spirit and what we battle is that as we go through life we start to battle the wounds of the ego or the ego itself will call I call it the wounded ego and the wounded ego is made up of all of our conditions our conditioning growing up and a lot of fear primarily and and then you know a lot of emotions unprocessed emotions and we go you come into this body we have this experience of needing to exist on this planet and survive and you know live this life and so we end up forgetting how to connect to source we end up forgetting somewhere along the way that we're divine or end up forgetting that were that we're here for a very very defined reason definitive reason and that it's a gift to have this life and so what happens is we end up getting wounded or getting hurt or having life experiences that condition us to think a certain way to behave a certain way and to have certain beliefs and according to those beliefs we stay bonded to our tribe to our family to our community and to this earth and we find belonging in that but what happens over time is that we end up feeling dissatisfied in the heart when we follow the conditioning and the programming and the way things should be according to you know tribal belief or what society holds for us and the hearts not satisfied we're we're still feeling grief that there's something missing and we go through our life doing the shoulds and the supposed to's until one day the divine within or the divine without knocks on the door and that knock on the door is what I'm referring to in the book called it's referred to as an initial heart opening and what happens is that our our spiritual energy our spirit basically in the heart chakra will experience a buildup of suppression our heart chakra I'm just gonna back up to say this our heart chakra gravitates towards life experience of life experiences that are going to return to us the highest state of the heart so what I mean by that is that you know our hearts gonna long for something that's going to source us so it will long for love it will long for a vacation and it will long for no beautiful home or a beautiful family or whatever it is but the heart doesn't necessarily long for the material items the the hearts going to long for what's going to satisfy the heart and so we end up feeding another aspect of ourselves basically our ego that says oh if I want home then I must need this house to look this particular way in order for me to feel at home but when we really connect into our hearts it doesn't that our hearts don't have that same conditioning the true heart within us and so when we start to you know seek home a particular way it ends up becoming anxiety provoking because the heart needs are the excuse me the mind or the ego needs all these conditions to meet in order to feel safe and grounded but the heart isn't satisfied with that the heart feels at home when we're connected to self and to spirit and relaxing into ourselves so in the initial heart opening what ends up happening is that our conditions build up in ourselves and in our life and when the conditions build up or the structure builds up there ends up being a catharsis of some some sort or a tragedy or a loss or a devastation there it ends up being something has something happens spiritually and on the human level that rocks our structure that has us look more deeply into who we are who we are on a soul level who we are coming into this body what our true mission is what's truly going to make us happy and we get very attached to these things on the outside that are going to bring us security but they're actually false senses of security and in fact if those things go away we're left feeling insecure or you know again anxiety or stress or it sends the body into another state so another state besides calm so what we do what happens is that the initial heart opening starts to shake up our structure and has us look within and that's the purpose of it and we're in that state of looking within and discovering who we are but what we might find first before we discover who we are is a lot of emotion a lot of hurt a lot of anger a lot of rage a lot of grief a lot of betrayal guilt shame you name it we end up feeling all that stuff upon the eruption of a hard opening and we need to feel those things those are aspects of our human emotion but what happens is if we have gone through a lot of years not connecting to our feelings not feeling them then they end up compacting and bottling up into what we call overwhelm overwhelm is a lot of emotions happening all at the same time that's what overwhelm really is and and the ability to not ground down or feel Center so that brings us to the second stage which is chaos and so chaos is the experience of unraveling the the false identity the ego basically the ego is again a conglomerate of our emotions our conditions our programming and a lot of our fear so we end up moving through this stage of chaos and chaos can be very chaotic not to use the word in the definition but it can be very stressful to be in the stage of chaos and chaos can last a really long time and what happens in chaos is that it's very hard for us to hear our intuition but we start to begin to separate out within the stage of chaos the ego from the spirit we start to realize wait a second who am I who am I here to be and we start to connect to our true self and our feelings hopefully I mean at some point even when things are so chaotic the the mind in some point realizes that chaos is happening that there is at you can actually separate from it enough to look at it and say oh wow okay this is this is insane what I'm doing to myself or how I'm creating my own chaos when we create that separation you end up distinguishing between the ego and the spirit there's a higher functioning part of yourself motivating you on your path towards the third stage which is the stage of healing so as chaos starts to unravel and things feel hard we look for lifelines and we start to tune in and say okay or tune out tune outward not check out but tune outward and say you know I really need help through this process and that's when we pursue healing and healing is what takes us out of chaos and into a form or structure that's going to help us find ourselves discover who we are be more connected to self so in healing we start to look at the emotions and how the emotions have basically run our life and our habits and our conditions how our condition to be and what's really important in that healing process is that we really look at these emotions as what what have I given myself permission to feel and what have I been afraid of feeling so for example it might be that fear is a hard emotion for you to feel yet grief is easier for you to express so what is it about fear that was very hard what are your coping mechanisms around fear so maybe if fear comes up a coping mechanism could be that you shut down or you you know find some way to distract yourself from feeling the fear rather than recognizing the fear another one is anger same thing is it comfortable for you to have your anger or feel your anger or be in your anger anger although it's we see that as a negative emotion it's actually a great internal motivator especially if we've been so off-center that we that our anger can actually put us back into place inside ourselves so anger if we're so angry that we're you know tripping over ourselves or we keep making the same mistakes over and over again and we're looking at self and saying okay enough I'm gonna stop doing that I am NOT going to ignore my intuition anymore I mean we can use corrective anger to put ourselves back into alignment so anger can be useful in that way but if expressing anger has been in your conditioning or programming has been not supported then there's going to be a feeling of fear around anger suppression around anger so that's a couple examples of how in the healing stage we start to unpack these emotions that are stored in the body and what's interesting is that these emotions I said stored in the body and I mean that literally our emotions store in the body they're not just you know in our energy field or in our mind or somewhere in some ambiguous space they actually exist inside our hips our legs our stomach our heart you know anywhere in our system we can be holding on to emotional energy so in the stage of healing when we're starting to heal we're we're detoxing and purging emotions from the body and the more we detox and let go of on the emotional level and all the attachments to those emotions we start to strengthen the spirit you start to listen more to your intuition and to your heart and to your soul and we start to fill ourselves up with more grace more light so the more we're healing the wounds letting go the more we're receiving divine grace in through the crown of your head now I personally believe in in my this is in my practice with clients and my practice as in the healer training program is that if we focus all our healing on the wounds and healing the wounds we can actually recycle ourselves in the wounds like we could get so attached to them that we can't see out of them or a way out but if we combine releasing and healing the wounds with connecting to source then our spirit becomes animated by the grace of the divine we end up and we can evoke prayer we can invoke a shower of light our pillar of light intentions angels when we start to bring the divine into our healing process it's a whole different ballgame here it transforms how you move through the wounds in your life because you're doing it through connection to source through illuminance through spirit through vibration you're not just doing it from the mind or even just through you know intention of just letting go of wounds you're leaning back into receiving the divine and when we would do that we're animating our spirit in a way that activates the heart chakra so I'm gonna have you in this very moment just tune in for a minute to the to an emotion that may be present for you in your life right now maybe not at this present moment but maybe you know it pops up here and there just take some deep breaths into the awareness that that emotion is present in your life now or at some point it returns take some deep breaths into it and see if you can find where in your body that emotion is inside yourself and take some deep breaths just direct your breath right to that area and maybe that emotion feels like it's caused by somebody maybe there's someone you're in relationship with or have interaction with and every time you're in interaction with that person this emotion comes up or maybe something that person is said or done that has left a sting just be aware of where that emotion is in your body and the healing part here is that you're gonna bring breath into that area that's the energy healing method just to bring your awareness and your breath and give space for that feeling to be felt and then the divine healing part is that you now either ask an angel to come and place its hands on that wound if it's your heart for example maybe a hand on the front and a hand on the back imagining an angel doing that and if it's not an angel then maybe just white light if you imagine beautiful light coming into that space you're taking some deep breaths into it you good and then breathe the light of the divine into that area of your body as you're exhaling and letting go eat perhaps down your grounding cord or out out of your body letting go of whatever emotions holding there and whatever it's attached to maybe you let somebody go from that area somebody's energy maybe you breathe in more self more light into yourself if you breathe light in to dissipate that emotion just take a couple deep breaths with that divine support good so as you lean back now into spirit and that that part of your body is releasing imagine now you're gonna fill into that space more light so you're breathing in the divine through the back side of your body imagining a beautiful light coming in filling it into your heart or core or legs or wherever you're holding pelvis wherever you were focused breathe that light into that area and what's amazing is that our spirit finds home in that divine light so when we start to breathe light into those places in our body we end up feeling so much better so much more connected to ourselves and so much more at home in our body so why is this exercise here a part of the spiritual heart so our spiritual heart again it longs for connection it longs for receiving the divine in our life it longs for love it longs for kindness and for compassion and we ultimately that's the ultimate states of the heart and it's very disappointing and upsetting when we have life experiences that aren't that way but it's interesting I had a question come up in in my healer training program about you know how do we stay in this connection how do you stay in divine connection how do you do that and um and what's interesting and this is part of my response is that you know there is there are places of worship that are set up every single you know Saturday or Sunday whether you're Jewish or Christian or whatever you know spiritual tradition you celebrate for this purpose because we do need to practice it we do need reminders because our spirit again we battle our ego all the time and so you know in different traditions there's different language for that but here in in intuitive healing or energy healing we're talking about the ego versus the soul and our ego gets the best of us unfortunately at times and we sometimes believe our ego more so than the spirit and so we have to practice cultivating spiritual connection and this brings us to the fourth stage which is contemplative being and contemplative being is the experience of arriving here in spiritual connection in awake being awake in your heart and in your in your divine connection in a way where you you know that going through those first through three stages have been meaningful purposeful and growth they got you to this place but that from from contemplative being you're able to be in the spiritual heart in a way that sources yourself with the capital s sources your your human life your human interactions and you're able to kind of if the best way I'd say this is when you're in when you're in contemplative being or in spiritual heart there's light moving through the backside of the heart chakra and when that light comes in through the backside you are actively animated spiritually and all the giving that happens automatically from the front of your heart ends up pulling back a little bit but it doesn't pull back in a way that disconnects you from giving it pulls back in a way that considers self so in the spiritual heart we're able to be connected to the divine considering self with the capital s and offering to humanity and when we do that questions like purpose come up so what's my purpose well our purpose from our mind or from our ego isn't going to be heart satisfying our purpose from receiving the divine in through the back of our heart is going to feel like a mission or a calling and it's going to be very very heart satisfying so the spiritual heart being open in this in this area has us really consider love in the most expansive way within ourselves and sometimes that means to love self enough to hold particular boundaries that may be appropriate so some people might say well how do I be in the heart and out in the world when it's so harsh the world is so harsh well an act of self-love sometimes means knowing when to protect yourself and walk away or knowing what's going to serve you and what's not going to serve you so having a spiritual heart is really being very deeply connected to grace and to self and to humanity and of service to humanity so in my book force it's um expanding your heart four stages of a spiritual opening I have a copy right here it's I'm very excited about it it took me seven years to write this book and I did you know I did write two other books in between but I'm very excited about the book because to me the book came through me it didn't I did I wrote it but I didn't write it I basically was guided a lot of the information was guided so it's really meant for you it's meant for your healing and helping you understand that some of the life experiences that you have been through have had had meaning and purpose and are helping you get to this place of being in alignment with yourself your soul and the divine as hard as it has been to go through the struggles and the very big challenges that might have happened and they're going through the stage of chaos and and maybe you're in the stage of healing and um and that you're moving in that state of contemplative being too and to know that all those stages can recycle themselves and you can be in two stages at the same time you can be in chaos and healing at the same time so this book gives you a framework and how to work with those stages as you're in them and I'm really proud of it so you're if you're interested in getting a copy there on my there's clear containers around the work that we do so just imagine here that your feet are on the ground and that you're taking a deep seat into your body and then just imagine that your angel is still behind you perhaps this angel just has its hands on your shoulders to help you feel loved supported connected to your spirit you I pray here that if there's anything else that needs to release in this divine space down your grounding cord in this healing time if there's anything else that you need to let go of that the light pours through you and with the assistance of your angel or more angels you just let go here you're making more room for your spirit to commune with you through your heart to give you guidance and intuition by letting go of the blocks and then we'll intend here that the auric field around the outside of our bodies is still has that beautiful gold light shining in towards us and shining out and then along that gold light is also a sphere of purple light around the outside and that purple light is your natural protective layer it's the actual natural outer layer of the aura so just intend that that's in place and then we'll ask that our energies are in our own bodies individually that your energies are in your own bodies so you're really only going home with your own energy or you know concluding this call with your own energy and you're grounded and connected more fully to spirit and to self and I give thanks for this opportunity to be of service here in the highest way that I may be I pray that you all walk in the love and the light of who Joanne welcome yeah great good great evening oh good thanks you're welcome thank you any questions comments did anyone have a hard time with it with anything I I feel a heaviness in my heart mm-hmm not a bad heaviness but you know I'm very aware of my heart right now mm-hmm you know is sometimes heaviness is if you've made some space for it I wonder what would be felt there you know made some space to let the heaviness sort of give you information okay I wonder what it would say I've been heavy for a long time yeah so one interesting thing about the heart chakra in particular so when we talk about the heart I basically mean the heart chakra is that prana life force energy moves in a circular motion in the heart so what that means is that if there's a heaviness or even a block in that area sometimes that circulating can go when one or two one of two ways sometimes it can spin too fast which can be anxiety and sometimes it can spin too slow which can be a little bit of sadness or depression feeling and I would honestly recommend I don't know which it would be for you but I would recommend as simple as the sounds breathing into your heart just really making room for deep deep breaths and let whatever needs to move come up and out and try and keep your breath steady and slow does that make sense to you yes okay I hear like people in the kitchen it looks like sounds like I know I can make dinner chatting yes I wish I could isolate the call to find out who that is I don't know but okay I don't even know if they're on bummer thank you Wendy this was wonderful you're welcome you're welcome even though there are things we speak about repeatedly in our sessions it's amazing how you pick up different things or just the reinforcement which I so appreciate and have such gratitude for you're so welcome yes thank you yeah well thank you great any other questions gosh I wish I knew who that background noise was if somebody hold on one second here I'm gonna try I'm doing a trick I'm trying to unmute everyone any other questions or let's see give me one second I was thinking so it's somebody who's on the phone apparently I'm sorry I'm ah are we good I think I figured out who it was okay okay um any other any other questions thoughts no no no it's it's hard to remember to keep yourself aligned the way you're describing as you go through interactions with people in your life yeah you know daily and try to keep yourself back to self reacting you know in that same pattern if that makes any sense absolutely and I'm sure you're not alone in that one um a couple thoughts about that one is that you you know you can't help getting triggered if you get triggered you get triggered and you can you mean the best thing you can do is be aware that you're triggered and take you know and not project not project or get you know you find a way to manage the trigger in a way that feels you know true to yourself without damaging or hurting anybody that's you know that's one part of it in terms of being how to manage yourself and this is something we talk about a lot in the healer training program is is actually having an awareness of the lower chakras in your body and how much you're holding your energy in and close to yourself keeping your center in that area versus leaking your energy out or having too too much exposure in the lower chakras because what ends up happening when we're overexposed in specifically the second and third chakras is that we're easily corded to and when we and we cord we don't it's not even just people according to us will cord out to especially if you're empathic in order to read somebody else and then we get into this dynamic where it's you know we're reading them are they okay and I'll be okay if they're okay or we'll absorb their energy to feel that we're okay and it turns into this actually this energetic codependency that ends up happening and it's very hard to hold your center when that happens so what would be really good is you know in advance of these interactions is to practice having holding like a well there's a bazillion practices I'm trying to mention a few few right now but one is to to imagine that your your energy is drawing in like you're holding your core energy in like almost engaging the core muscles in the body which if we're not feeling those core muscles it's all the more reason to do core work it's not to have great abs it's just to feel where you begin and end in the front of your body so it's really good to be able to engage those and to imagine that there's perhaps a shield of light in front of those power centers and I mean I could go on and on about this and maybe in another call but there's also some things here about detoxing digestively increasing the fire in the core being able to meditate and seat yourself in the center there so yes it's hard to do to get it right in those moments but that's why we practice it's for those moments you know to hold ourselves to be more conscious and aware does that help yeah yeah it's almost like you need to strengthen the field around you that you're not absorbing and then reacting emotionally to the things that people are bringing to you coming from their own stuff yes that's true however I'll say this is that it is the field around you but it's the field it's the pillar within you too so we we do you get what I'm saying yeah I get that yep so yeah that would like you think about your root chakra I immediately think of that when you say the pillar within you it's your the the pillar from the crown of your head to your tailbone if we practice engaging that and radiating out our protection comes from inner security as opposed to just putting light around the outside of us but not having a strong pillar then we're we're still kind of walking around with a vulnerability a strong pillar meaning you you thinking of being grounded when you say a strong pillar being grounded in your your yourself and your is that what you yeah so the visual for and actually this there's a this is described in my book I go out there's a whole section on the pillar of light in the body and there's a meditation that goes with it but it's basically the pillar from the crown of your head down to your tailbone and it's it's a strong pillar and it goes into the earth as well and it feeds into the grounding cord so engaging a strong pillar has us hold our hold ourselves up in a different way more confidence more sense of self that make sense yeah can you see me no I don't know who don't see me okay you can just hear me yeah it's hard to tell who is this and I think it's Diane it says okay see you talking yeah I see that's me Wendy Kathy hi can I hi hi can I make a suggestion yeah to what Diane is saying please sure because you know speaking from my personal experience mm-hmm I think what you were talking about might correct me if I'm wrong is when you get triggered you have a reaction to it and it may not necessarily be the reaction that you would choose to have is that what you're saying right so I don't know if you've ever heard of TM transcendental meditation Wendy knows that I've been doing it now for almost a year and that has been extremely practical and helpful for me in becoming so much less reactionary so much less I mean it's been a life changer for me Wendy you agree with that right yeah definitely it's been an amazing amazing thing and it's a very easy thing to do you could google TM and see if there's anything in your area that offers it but and if you if you can't do that or there's nothing around then my second suggestion is is to pretend you have an apple in your mouth and with the apple in your mouth you can't talk right away for a few minutes just breathe in and out breathe and think about what you want to say I'm I'm really I've come a long way baby believe me I'm not that reactional and I I do know I have been I have a meditation practice I've been doing now probably for five years and it's very it is like brushing my teeth if I don't sit for 10 15 minutes and just meditate breathe still guided meditation whatever I can feel it in two or three days if I don't do it so but you know the people that are the closest to you are the ones that can you know trigger it right yeah yeah this was really good very very good yeah you're welcome I think
