Thank you for joining me today on Grounded with Wendy.

We're going to be exploring one very simple way to move us through what might feel like being stuck,

Or something that's really hard,

Or finding something completely overwhelming.

And one idea on how to move through it,

Or get to a next step,

And it's called WIN.

It's using the acronym W-I-N,

And it stands for What's Important Now.

And sometimes we get wrapped up into the feelings,

Or the emotions connecting to the results that we're looking for.

And that's normal,

Except if we don't actually move forward.

If we either go backwards,

Or sit in a swirling,

A swirling state,

It can be,

It can feel icky.

And so right now,

In this moment,

What is important?

And what is needed right now in this moment to help me,

To help me shift?

And one thing I know from years of practice is that we tend,

As humans,

To make the step too big,

Too wide.

And the encouragement today is to make the step smaller.

If you can imagine rungs on a ladder,

And if they're too far apart,

It's just such a struggle to get to the next rung,

To make progress.

But if the steps are a little bit closer together,

It's much easier,

And it feels better to make progress.

It's not such a struggle.

And so how can you make whatever is on your heart today,

As you come to meditation,

How can you create just one step closer to what you would like to feel,

Or move through,

Or progress,

Or proceed with,

Or cultivate,

Or to finish,

Or to start?

So if you'll come with me to meditation,

And if you so choose to close your eyes,

And find your breath,

And notice,

Notice what's buzzing in your body,

If anything.

And if you could go to the buzzing feeling,

And give it some sort of warmth and tenderness,

If something is feeling a little off,

Or if there's tension someplace.

We often find it behind our eyes,

Or at our jawline,

At our shoulders.

So we'll sit together now,

And find your breath,

And do a body scan.

Just gift yourself a little bit of warmth in places that are buzzing.

Take a deep breath,

So that you're breathing into your lungs,

And into your belly.

Helping us come into the present moment,

To get caught up in the past,

Or the future,

Right now.

And all it is,

Is to be in the breath,

And be in this present moment,

That you've gifted yourself to be present.

And ever so gently,

And with total curiosity,

And non-judgment,

If you can put judgment on a shelf,

You can pick it up later.

But in a curious way,

If there's something that you're wanting to move through,

Then we break things down into micro steps,

And we do them consistently.

Wishing you some mini wins.

What arose for me is a space in my home that I have felt stuck in addressing, a bookshelf that is in disarray and overflowing. I keep assuming I have to start with what's on the floor but a micro step would be straightening a single shelf, which feels doable. Thank you for providing the guidance in this meditation.
