Hello, My name is Viola, And welcome to this poem that I have written especially for all of you. And if you enjoy this poem, I would appreciate a review. I call this poem, I've Danced Barefoot. I've danced barefoot on greens of grass, And slept like a baby under the stars. Climbed up to the peak of a mountaintop to find the essence of who I am. I've built castles in the sand, And swam in the ocean on my back. Then sat amongst heirless mystics, Listening to the scriptures of the teachings of Jesus. I've seen the sunrise and sunset, And been in awe of what that meant. I've learned to paint, Play the drums, Hum along to unknown songs, And sometimes I'll just lounge around, Eat chocolate, Splash in a cleansing rain, Or maybe I'll call that special friend, And then, Whenever, I'll start again.
