Today for this meditation,
We'll be focusing on sending compassion to yourself.
I'll invite you to find a comfortable seated position.
Allowing the sit bones to root into the mat.
Sitting up nice and tall.
Lengthen spine.
Soft eyelids as you gently allow the eyes to fall shut.
And gently start to find your breath.
Taking a deep inhale in.
And a full exhale out.
For today,
If it feels comfortable for you,
You can place one hand on your heart,
One hand on your belly.
And just notice the rise and the fall of the chest.
The rise and the fall of the belly.
Maybe there's a light pressure from your hands.
Maybe there's some more.
Viewing into that connection.
Viewing into that touch.
Sending some love and kindness to yourself.
By carving out this time and this space for you to be here and to feel into your body.
And perhaps to give yourself some compassion.
Some love.
During the moments that you may be a bit hard on yourself.
And really tuning into this breath.
The rise and the fall of the chest.
The rise and the fall of the belly.
Notice the shoulders release away from your ears.
Notice the expansion of the breath.
As you breathe into the sides of the ribcage.
Notice the length of the breath as you breathe all the way up to the top crown of the head.
Notice the softening in the facial muscles,
The temples,
The eyebrows.
Gentle eyelids,
Soft face,
Relaxed jaw.
Notice.
And be.
Remember that sometimes we can be our biggest,
Harshest critics.
But how many of those beliefs are actually true?
Is it just a thought?
Or is it actually true?
And when we learn to question these thoughts and these beliefs with compassion,
With care,
We start to see that maybe they don't have to hold so much pressure.
What would so much weigh in our minds?
All of us have something to offer.
All of us are trying our best with what we have.
All of us go through struggle and challenge.
And maybe that's enough to know that we're not alone.
I'll then invite you to take a full breath in.
And a strong exhale out Breathing in through the nose.
And breathing out.
Again,
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Last,
Breathing in and out.
And O.
Starting to bring movement into your fingertips and your toes.
And when you are ready you can gently blink open the eyes.
Thank you so much for joining me in this meditation and I wish you a great day ahead.
