Welcome to today's self-love meditation.
I know it may be hard to show yourself a bit of love and compassion sometimes.
When the world has so much to say,
When there's so much noise and stimulation thrown all over us,
It can be hard to quieten the noise and to listen to ourselves.
I invite you to find a comfortable seat,
Sit in cross-legged or in whatever position that makes you feel comfortable.
When you are ready,
You can slowly close the eyes or lower the gaze.
If it feels comfortable for you,
I invite you to put one hand on your heart,
One hand on your belly.
This allows you to feel deeper into your body,
Deeper into your breath,
Connecting with the heartbeat,
Connecting with your breath.
Take a deep long full inhale in through your nose and a nice long exhale out.
Continuing with this breathing pattern,
Notice the breath as it pours through the whole body.
Notice the wave of calmness,
Of peace that the breath has on you.
Allow the breath to soften the muscles,
To soften any tension you may be holding on to.
Allow the breath to shower the body with love,
With compassion,
With kindness.
In a world that has so much to say,
In a world where it's so hard to trust ourselves,
Can you take this moment to find that connection,
To come back into yourself,
To come back to you,
To your beliefs,
Your perspective,
Your decisions.
Can you allow yourself to trust yourself so much that you end up living a life that is so true to you?
Because although it's so hard to avoid disappointment,
Although it's hard to avoid negative feelings,
Negative words from others,
Know that the love you show yourself and the relationship you have with yourself is so important.
It guides you as you take every step.
It guides you as you make decisions.
So nurture it,
Honor it,
Follow it,
And make sure that voice in your heart,
That voice in your head,
Is one that will move you forward.
As we come to the end of this meditation,
I want you to take three more rounds of breath.
With each breath,
Repeating the words,
I am loved,
I am cared for,
I am worthy.
When you are ready,
You can slowly open the eyes,
Coming back into your space,
Into your environment,
Noticing this feeling of love and compassion.
Take this feeling with you through the rest of your day.
Thank you for listening along,
And I hope to see you soon.
