Welcome to this meditation about acceptance and letting go.
Find a comfortable position,
Wherever that is for you.
Whether it's seated,
Lying down,
Just a space where your body can rest easily.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.
Allow your shoulders to drop,
Your jaw to soften,
And your heart to settle.
You have arrived in a space which you don't need to fix,
Change,
Or prove anything.
All you need to do is just be.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Notice how it moves,
Steady.
Notice how it flows.
There is nothing you need to control.
Feel the ground beneath you.
It supports you without asking anything in return.
You are held.
You are held.
Accepting and moving on can be tricky situations that we encounter.
Moments in life when we resist what has already happened.
We replay conversations,
Re-imagine endings,
Wishing things were different.
The mind tries to rewrite the story,
But the heart already knows the truth.
Acceptance does not mean you approve of the pain.
Acceptance just means you stop fighting what already is.
It means you open your palms and let life flow through you instead of clinging,
Clinging to attachments.
As you breathe,
Imagine yourself sitting beside a flowing river.
The water is moving,
Slow and steady.
Each thought,
Each memory,
Each emotion is a leaf drifting by on the surface.
You don't need to grab it.
You can simply watch it go.
Now bring to mind something you've been holding on to.
A regret,
A person,
A version of yourself.
And just start to feel,
Start to notice where it lives in your body.
Maybe you feel it in your chest,
In your throat,
Or your stomach.
Gently breathe into that space.
Breathe into that space,
Not to push that feeling away,
But to make space for it.
Allow the breath to soften anything that feels tight.
Let the warmth gather where there has been holding.
Repeating the following words,
I am safe to let go.
I am free to begin again.
I trust the unfolding of my life.
Take one last deep breath in and exhale fully.
The breath leaves,
And yet you remain.
Open,
Whole,
And at peace.
When you're ready,
You can slowly bring movement into your fingertips and toes.
Coming back to the space.
Slowly opening the eyes and just staying in this feeling.
Noticing how you feel.
No need to rush.
Carrying the softness with you into the rest of your day.
