When was the last time you closed your eyes,

Feeling love and warmth shower through your body?

When was the last time you tended to yourself with unwavering care and steadfast presence?

When was the last time you gave yourself grace instead of listening to your own inner critic?

When was the last time you paused to let silence fill the room,

Shining light on your being?

Because you see,

We have lost the love we show ourselves.

We have placed band-aids over our wounds.

We seek the meaning of love outside of ourselves,

Through the pursuit of possessions,

Through the pursuit of people.

We say,

Give to me what is lacking.

We plead for pleasure,

Weaving in complexity into the things we are ever so desperately seeking.

We have packed and packed and packed layers and layers of plaque to cover up what once was unconditional love.

The more we scrape and scrap at the plaque,

Through the depth,

Through the cracks,

Through the parts in between,

Trying so hard to pick at the plaque of negativity,

That's how deep we've buried our love.

Our own words,

Showered with negativity,

Become plasters and cement,

Become blockages and walls to our ability to receive love.

And now,

You're here.

You've allowed yourself to be in a process of softening,

Of melting these walls away,

Of dissolving the clenching,

The holding,

The attaching,

The ruminating.

You've come to a process of flooding,

Confronting,

The emotions and tears,

The heavy heart,

Or the shallowness of breath.

You realize that grace and softness open the doors to an oasis,

A fertile spot in the desert,

Where water is found,

Where life begins,

Where we enter a new steadfast state of being.

Because now,

What was once empty is now full.

What was once lack is now abundance.

What was once hatred is now acceptance.

What was once greed is now grace.

What was once competition is now compassion.

What was once loathing is now love.

Love in its purest,

Most authentic form.

Love is a feeling.

It's a state of mind.

It's when we stitch together the divide we created within ourselves and step into a whole version of ourselves.

We can sense this.

We can believe that we are whole the way we are.

If you haven't already,

Allow yourself to find a comfortable seat.

Allow yourself to soften into your body.

Sending the breath to vibrate through each and every single one of yourselves.

Notice what comes up when you feel the word love.

What you feel in your body when the word love is heard.

Notice if there's any resistance.

If any part of your body is tensing.

Can you send your breath to those areas and give them a little bit of love?

Notice the softening it creates in every part of your being.

Let the music fill your bones and dissolve your barriers.

You are not in depletion.

You are not in desperation.

Allow yourself to feel whatever comes up.

It's okay.

You can.

You can allow your emotions to be seen,

To be felt,

And to be heard.

Because this release will break down any residual resistance.

It releases any trapped emotion in the body.

When you allow yourself to release your resistance,

That's when you allow for unconditional love to come in,

To enter.

Place one hand on your heart and the other hand on your stomach.

Feel the warmth of your palm.

Start to invigorate every one of yourselves.

Lovingly hold yourself in this space.

All cocooned up.

All swaddled up.

You are loved.

Growing more fully in your own breath with each inhale.

Let all searching outside of you stop here.

Take a moment to realize that your source of unending nourishment and love has been within you all this time,

All along.

It was always with you.

Meet yourself here in this feeling as often as you can remind yourself.

Once we're aligned with our own feeling of love,

We can start to love without condition,

Without attachment.

We can start to walk without the weight of heaviness.

We can heal what we have forgotten in our humanness.

We can heal all the build up that we've caused in our past and move on.

With a sense of presence,

With a sense of awareness,

With a sense of knowing that we are loved the way we are.

When the world gets too big and too heavy in ways that you can't feel this part of you and just seem to lose it,

It's okay,

It happens.

When you've forgotten to tend to your own well-being,

Know that you can slowly,

Gently find your way back to this feeling.

It's always within you.

There is always love around you.

Take one more inhale through the crown of your head.

Make it full,

Make it deep,

Make it long.

As you exhale it out,

Sigh everything out.

Remember to carry this loving feeling with you as you move on through your day or wherever the time is where you are.

Allow yourself to bask in the feeling of love.

It's a feeling,

It's a state of mind.

No need to seek,

No need to find.

It's already in you.
