Hi,

I'm Paula and I'm honored to share this meditation with you.

Many people have no idea of the power that a simple smile has.

We usually think that we smile when we are happy,

But neuroscience studies show us that the opposite is also true.

Smiling more can help us to be happier.

In addition,

The smile also has a contagious effect,

Almost like a yawn,

Which can help those around us feel happier too.

So shall we smile more?

How about smiling with your whole body?

If you want to smile with me,

Sit in a comfortable position or lie down,

Whichever works best for your smile.

If this is comfortable for you,

Close your eyes or remain with a soft look,

Without fixing your gaze on anything.

Watch your breath and maybe take some deep,

Very slow breaths.

And with each exhalation,

See if you can relax your body.

Perhaps start with a slight smile on your lips.

Relax your face and smile without contracting your facial expression.

Smile with your eyes gently.

Smile with your forehead,

Allowing it to relax.

Sense the feeling that this smile is radiating all over your face.

Gradually extend the sensation to other parts of your body.

Smile with your neck too.

And thank your smile for your shoulders.

Open your chest,

Smiling from your heart.

Relax your belly and smile with your belly too.

Smile with your back and your pelvis.

And feel the smile running down your legs until it reaches your feet.

Smile with arms and hands.

Keep noticing the smile all over your body for as long as it's comfortable for you.

Smile with arms and hands.

Smile with arms and hands.

When you are ready,

Slowly go back to the present moment.

Removing your body again,

Maybe starting with your hands and feet and open your eyes.

Smiling your whole body,

Take that light smile feeling with you for the rest of your day and night.
