Hello and welcome beautiful Insight Timer community.
Today we are on day 20 of our 30 days of scripting.
So today as I was thinking of what we could script on together,
I was drawn to this deck by Sonia Choquette.
The answer is simple.
I searched for this deck for a long time.
It was out of print.
I was really happy when I was finally able to get my hands on it.
She offers a lot of great wisdom.
So I pulled a card randomly and I got number 53,
Take No Offense.
So as usual,
I opened up the book and I started to read her meaning behind this card.
The ego becomes easily riled and takes quick offense at the behavior of others,
Indignantly wondering how dare they do this to me.
The ego also likes to mull over perceived slights and hold grudges against the offending parties for long periods of time.
This robs you of peace and perpetuates the false notion that others victimize you.
The spirit in contrast understands that human beings are emotional and reactionary and do things without realizing their impact on others.
Therefore it takes offense at no one,
Knowing that nothing another does is truly personal.
The question the spirit asks instead is,
Why is this occurring to me?
Why am I attracting this experience?
What can I learn from this?
Observe how your ego is victimizing you.
Notice when you're personally affronted by someone else's behavior.
In what way are you internalizing the actions of another to be a reflection of you?
Mostly notice any grudges you hold or any wounds you're nursing from the past.
Are they robbing you of peace in the moment?
Most of what your ego is offended by is small and meaningless anyway.
Besides,
No one can slight the spirit in you.
Laugh off the petty complaints,
Drop resentments and grudges,
And turn your attention back to learning from the experience at hand.
The real issue is that you doubt your own value and therefore look to others to affirm it.
Remember your spirit and know that you're priceless and whole.
Overlook the offending behaviors of those who can't see their own light,
Let alone yours.
Choose to be peaceful.
Well my friends,
This is a huge topic for me.
I know that as much as I try sometimes to imagine what I'm learning from a certain situation,
It can often be hard to deal with.
So I was thinking perhaps a good scripting prompt would be to think of someone that maybe has offended you or you've had some kind of issue with,
And let's write about how the situation would work if we let it go,
If we had forgiveness,
And we didn't allow it to disturb us at all.
I find this is often a good way for me to deal with difficult people.
I like to write that the problem has been resolved and to feel the feelings of having that weight lifted off my shoulders.
All right my friends,
I know this is a tough one.
I'm going to put five minutes on the clock and I know you can do it.
Let's start scripting.
All right my friends,
That was five minutes and congratulations for getting through day 20 of our 30 days of scripting.
I hope that this prompt gave you an opportunity to explore some of those limiting beliefs that we all have,
Maybe cultivate forgiveness,
And to help you manifest a more peaceful and harmonious life.
Great job.
Let's meet here again tomorrow for day 21 of our 30 days of scripting.
Until then,
My friends,
Have an amazing day.
