I smile like Buddha smiles,

A welcoming smile.

I remember that this being human is a guesthouse.

Guests keep arriving,

Now a joy,

Now a sadness.

Some are expected,

Others are unexpected.

I meet them at the door smiling and invite them in.

Some stay for only a moment,

Others stay longer.

When they are ready to leave,

I follow them to the door and I smile.

See for yourself.

Sit with a straight back,

Alert and relaxed.

Close your eyes or rest your eyes on the ground in front of you.

Sit with a slight smile or merely imagine a smile,

Wishing everything that comes and goes welcome.

It's not to cover over or pretend.

The smile can help in being with what is here and now.

The only way we can be aware of everything that comes and goes,

Including the painful experiences,

Is by taking a friendly and non-judgmental attitude.

You can see thoughts,

Feelings,

Sensations,

Sense impressions,

As guests visiting for a while and smile to them.

Thank you. I love being a host, inviting whoever comes to my home. I feel welcome, as a guest, entering my own home just being me.

Love the silence towards the end. Gives you time to really reflect on the words spoken.

I wandered through my new offerings herein and purposed YOUR page could help me stay connected to my 2nd language... saaaaaaa takknemlig, thank youuuuuu for making the effort to create and present these moments in sound for our hearts and mins and Souls to embrace . You’ve been gifted with such a calming voice that evokes deep caring. ... it is mid November 2020 now and my family across our precious globe in your Homeland say the winter brings waves of more isolation and personal protection demands. THIS meditation is so perfect for our time, and fulfills my craving for words to share with them, there and here, near Los Angeles. As we know, everywhere is here: we may have never been more united in need as humans consciously before. Even cruelty to animals and its veganism cure, has made a huge leap into the minds of the worried.. this insightful work you give us here so wonderfully reminds us of the words of all The Sages, that fighting is not the answer to peace... i feel you’ve answered my prayers for a meaningful gift to give all, and i will encourage others to pass this on. Forever Grateful, God Bless, Namaste
