Hey there beautiful soul.
My name is Virj and wherever you are in the world,
Whenever you are in the world,
I am so deeply grateful that you and I get this time together.
Thank you for showing up for yourself today.
Whether this is your first meditation or just what you needed in this moment,
Know that you are exactly where you are supposed to be.
Today we're going to do something powerful but simple.
The act,
The practice of letting go.
Together we will gently release the emotional or energetic weight you have been carrying.
You don't have to figure it all out right now.
You don't have to get it perfect.
You just have to allow yourself to be here right now.
So let's get ourself comfortable.
Sit in a way that feels good or lie down if that's what your body needs today.
If you are seated,
Let your feet connect with the ground and rest your hands gently in your lap.
When you are ready,
Softly close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in and let it go.
Let's begin.
Breathe in deeply through your nose and let it out slowly.
Feel your shoulders drop,
Your jaw soften and allow your body to start to relax.
Again breathe in deeply and exhale fully,
Releasing any tension in your body.
One more time.
Breathe in deeply and just imagine a wave of calm flowing through you.
Exhale,
Letting go of anything that feels heavy right here,
Right now.
Now I want you to picture yourself standing near a river or a body of water.
It's quiet,
Calm and peaceful.
The water flows gently in front of you.
Allow yourself to see the water flowing gently in front of you,
Shimmering under the sunlight.
Allow yourself to feel the air around you.
It's fresh,
Soothing,
It's exactly what you need.
Now visualize a small wooden boat waiting for you by the riverbank.
It's sturdy,
Simple and ready to help you release whatever you've been holding on to.
Take a moment and think about what's weighing you down.
It might be worries,
Fears,
Memories or even beliefs that feel limiting.
You don't need to overthink it.
Whatever comes to you is enough.
Now I want you to imagine that you are gently placing those things into the simple,
Sturdy boat.
Maybe you see them as memories,
Objects,
Colors or even words.
Take your time right here,
Right now.
Place each one into the boat with care,
Knowing that this is your chance to let it go right here,
Right now.
When the boat feels full,
Give it a strong and gentle push into the river.
Watch as the current takes it away slowly and steadily.
See it drifting farther and farther away from you.
Now take a deep breath in and exhale slowly through your mouth.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale say in your mind or out loud,
I let go of what no longer serves me.
I am free.
As you see the boat moving out of your sight,
Notice how you feel right here,
Right now.
Notice that space inside you,
The space that used to carry all that weight,
Is now open.
Open for peace,
For joy,
For something new.
Let yourself just sit with that feeling for a moment,
Allowing yourself to take a breath in,
Exhale out.
Feel it in your body.
When you are ready,
Start to bring your awareness back to the present.
Notice your breath moving gently in and out naturally.
Wiggle your fingers,
Your toes.
Feel your body reconnecting to the space around you.
When it feels right,
Gently open your eyes.
Hey beautiful soul,
You did it.
You showed up for yourself and you let go of something that wasn't meant to stay.
Take this lightness with you as you move through your day,
Your evening,
Or even your week.
You deserve it and remember you can always come back to this practice anytime you need to release and reset.
