One definition of love is "an intense feeling of deep affection" while another is "The act of caring and giving to someone else. Having someone's best interest and well-being as a priority in your life. To truly love is a very selfless act." This is a self-love-guided practice. Pressing play and deciding to be here is an act of self-love. You are the most important thing right now.

One definition of love is an intense feeling of deep affection,

While another is the act of caring and giving to someone else.

Having someone's best interest and well-being as a priority in your life.

To truly love is a very selfless act.

My name is Shani,

And welcome to the self-love guided practice.

Missing play and deciding to be here is a true act of self-love.

You are the most important thing right now,

So position your body in the most comfortable spot.

Do you need to grab anything to make yourself feel more at ease?

Perhaps a pillow or a blanket?

Whatever comfort items you need right now,

Feel free to grab them.

Just reminding you that there is no right or wrong way to be here right now.

It is not about stopping your thoughts,

So if they come,

Let them come.

Just notice them and you can always pull yourself back by connecting with my voice,

With your breath,

Or any sounds in your space.

And if you feel comfortable closing your eyes for your practice,

You can go ahead and do that now.

So just feel your feet,

Your back,

Or your bottom against the surface beneath you.

And notice how supported you are,

How you're being held literally right now.

Bring your awareness into how you've been loved by life thus far.

You are alive,

Your heart is beating,

Your mind is working,

Your body is moving.

You are deeply loved.

Just take a deep breath in through your nose,

Hold it at the top,

And then release a heavy sigh out of your mouth,

Fully releasing any energy that does not exude the energy of love.

And during your practice,

Just continue to breathe in and breathe out intentionally and deeply,

But at your own comfortable pace.

Take a moment and imagine that you are kneeling down at your own feet,

And you're laying your most favorite,

The most beautiful flowers at your own ankles.

You deserve this love from yourself.

And just breathe into that picture,

And then breathe out.

And just know there is no such thing as being perfect.

There is only you and your beautiful mind,

Body,

And spirit.

You have gotten yourself to this exact moment in time and space.

You have loved yourself by simply continuing to move forward in this life,

Which is not always easy.

You get yourself back up from every fall.

You keep giving back to the world that is not always kind.

And you interact and engage with this universe's energy to create your own path and journey.

This is love.

Let's take a deep breath into that,

And a deep breath out.

And in your mind's voice,

Say in the softest,

Most beautiful way,

I am enough.

I will allow myself to make mistakes.

I love myself fully.

I love this body that is housing me.

I love this mind that is always problem-solving and maneuvering through this life for me.

I love this heart that is beating and literally keeping me alive.

I love this heart that is forgiving,

That continues to be hopeful.

Let's take a deep breath into that,

And a deep breath out.

And if you feel comfortable,

Place your hand on your heart space.

And just connect with your breath that is coming into your chest.

Breathe out.

Feel the rise and the fall of your heart space.

And what intention can you set to show up for yourself in a more gracious and loving way,

Either today or this week,

Or just in the near future?

Will you speak life into yourself and your situations?

Will you choose to be with people who treat you well?

Will you set boundaries with people?

Will you accept what you feel is not perfect?

Will you limit negative things out of your life and out of your space?

Will you prioritize your mental and physical health?

And will you stop comparing and believe that you are enough?

Whatever your intention is,

Let's seal it with the deepest inhale that you have taken today.

Feel your lungs and your chest,

And imagine your heart is so full of a beautiful white light.

And now exhale slowly through your mouth.

Imagine you are sending out this love energy into the universe to cover your entire being.

You are perfect.

You are loved,

And you are love.

And now smile.

Take that all in.

Breathe it in.

Accept it,

Believe it,

Trust in it.

And when you're ready,

You can open your eyes if they were closed.

Coming back fully into your space,

Take a look around,

Reorient yourself,

Maybe even wrap your arms around your body to show yourself some love and affection.

And thank you so much for being here,

Not only for me,

But for yourself.

And I pray that you remember this practice anytime that it feels hard to love on yourself.
