Welcome to this quick hip opening stretch.
We're going to begin in a low lunge.
So stepping the right foot forward in between the hands,
Allow the hips to fall.
As you stretch through the right hip flexor.
Take a few breaths here.
And then bring the right hand to the inside of the leg,
Coming into lizard pose.
So option to allow the knee to fall open a little to the right,
Getting deeper into that inner hip flexor.
And then walking the foot to the left side of the mat for Pigeon Pose,
Shin is parallel to the mat.
Option is stay lifted or you can allow your upper body to drape over the legs.
And breathe.
Gently unwind and we'll take it on the other side.
So stepping the left foot forward in between the hands for low lunge.
Taking a few breaths as you allow gravity to release the hip down towards the mat.
And then walking that foot to the outside of the hands for a lizard lunge.
And when you're ready,
Moving into pigeon pose,
Walking the foot to the right side of the mat,
Shin comes parallel to the top.
Again,
Option to stay lifted or you can allow the upper body to rest down to the mat.
And gently unwinding,
Pressing yourself up.
Making your way down to your back as we find happy baby pose.
So you can reach for the back of the thighs.
The ankles or the outer edges of the foot as you bring your knees down towards the ground.
And gently rock side to side.
You may hope your hips feel a little less tight.
Thanks for joining me.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
