Well read but … the passage has always bothered me that Jepthah, who murdered his daughter, is listed as faithful. God did not ask for this sacrifice. Our scriptures include major blunders by people God used for good but I can’t hold up as good examples of faith.

Love the many rich biblical references of faith as the foundation of our history. May we be inspired to deepen our faith so we can continue the glorify the Lord as we spread His kingdom.
