Begin by finding a comfortable and quiet space to sit or lie down.

Close your eyes and gently take a deep cleansing breath in through the nose,

Allowing your belly to expand fully and exhaling slowly through your mouth,

Releasing any tension.

Let's begin this journey into stillness together.

As you breathe in,

Draw in peace and calmness.

As you breathe out,

Release any worries or distractions,

Feeling the weight of your body as it settles into a state of relaxation.

As you continue to breathe gently,

Envision yourself in a serene,

Natural setting.

It could be a quiet forest,

A tranquil beach,

Or maybe a peaceful mountaintop.

Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and the gentle breeze brushing against your face.

Breathing in,

Allowing the beauty of this place to fill your senses,

And breathing out,

Letting go of any lingering thoughts.

Imagine a sense of stillness and tranquility settling around you like a soft,

Protective cloak.

As you breathe,

Notice the sounds of nature around you,

Birds singing,

Leaves rustling,

Waves softly crashing.

Allow these sounds to further deepen your sense of peace and presence.

Breathing in,

Drawing in the essence of this peaceful environment.

Breathing out,

Releasing any tension or restlessness that you may be carrying.

In this quiet place of stillness,

Recognize the profound truth that God often speaks and whispers.

His voice is not in the clamor of the world,

But in the gentle hush of the Spirit.

Embrace the stillness as a sacred space where you can attune your heart to His quiet guidance.

Now turn your attention inward.

Bring your awareness to your body.

Begin with your toes.

Slowly moving your focus upward through your feet,

Ankles,

And legs.

Notice any areas of tension and imagine them melting away with each breath.

Breathing in,

Inviting relaxation into your body.

Breathing out,

Letting go of any physical discomfort.

Continue to move your attention upward to your belly,

Chest,

And shoulders.

Release any tightness you may be holding in these areas.

Breathing in,

Allowing calmness to flow into your muscles.

Breathing out,

Releasing any stress or worry that may have accumulated.

Now let your awareness settle in your heart center.

Visualize a warm golden light glowing within your chest.

This light represents the presence of God,

His love and peace.

Breathing in,

Letting His light expand and radiate through your entire being.

Breathing out,

Allowing Him to envelop you in a sense of profound stillness.

Psalm 4610 says,

Be still and know that I am God.

So friend,

In this moment,

Surrender the need for constant motion,

The desire for answers,

And the weight of your burdens.

Allow His sovereignty to envelop you as you release control and rest in the assurance that He is in command.

And so as you bask in this moment,

Repeat the following affirmation silently to yourself.

I am in the embrace of stillness.

I am open to the wisdom of silence.

I am at peace with the present moment.

Feel the truth of these affirmations resonating with you,

Reinforcing your connection to God and to the stillness that surrounds and fills you.

Take a few more moments here to simply be,

Allowing the stillness to nurture your mind,

Body,

And soul.

And when you are ready,

Gently bring your awareness back to this present moment.

Slowly wiggling your fingers and toes,

Gradually reawakening your body.

And take a final deep cleansing breath,

Breathing in through the nose and releasing out of your mouth.

And when you're ready,

Gently opening your eyes and remembering that you can return to this place of stillness and tranquility whenever you need to find solace in the midst of life's busyness.

Have a great day,

Friend.
