Let's begin by finding a comfortable and quiet place to sit.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs with fresh air and slowly exhale,
Letting go of any tension or stress that you may be holding on to.
And repeat this deep breath two more times.
So breathing in,
Breathing out,
Inhaling and exhaling,
Just allowing your body to relax.
As you continue to breathe in a way that feels natural for you,
Bring your awareness to the present moment.
Feel the sensation of your breath entering and leaving your body.
Notice the stillness around you.
And now with each inhale,
Imagine drawing in a sense of peace and light.
And with each exhale,
Release any worries or negative thoughts that you may be carrying.
And let your breath be a reminder of the life and spirit of God that fills you.
And now begin to focus your thoughts on gratitude.
Think of one thing,
No matter how small,
That you can be thankful for this morning.
It could be the warmth of the sun,
The sound of birds,
Or the comfort of your home.
Maybe it's just God waking you up and allowing you to see a new day.
Whatever you select,
Just hold that feeling of gratitude in your heart.
Heavenly Father,
We come before you this morning with a heart full of gratitude.
Thank you for the gift of a new day,
For the breath in our lungs,
And for the chance to live in your love once again.
As we rise,
We ask for your guidance and protection.
Lead our steps today,
God,
That we may walk in your ways and follow your path that you have set before us.
Help us to make choices that honor you,
To treat others with kindness and to carry your light in the world.
Grant us strength to face any challenges that may come our way and fill us with your peace in moments of uncertainty.
May your wisdom guide our thoughts and your love be the foundation of everything that we do.
Lord,
We ask that you bless our loved ones and keep them safe.
Surround us with your presence and help us to be a source of encouragement and support to one another.
Thank you for your endless grace and mercy.
We surrender this day to you,
Trusting in your plan and resting in the assurance that you are with us.
In Jesus' name we pray.
Amen.
Finally,
Just take one more deep breath in,
Feeling refreshed and centered,
And as you exhale,
Gently open your eyes,
Bringing the sense of peace and connection into the rest of your day.
Go forth,
Friend,
With a heart full of gratitude and a mind focused on the present and a spirit ready to embrace the day ahead.
Have a great day.
