Heavenly Father,
I come before you now seeking your peace,
Your presence,
Your rest.
As I lay down to sleep,
I surrender every thought,
Every worry,
And every burden into your hands.
You are my refuge,
My shelter,
My safe place.
Let this time of prayer settle my heart,
Quiet my mind,
And draw me into deep restorative rest in you.
I invite your spirit to fill this space,
Wrapping me in your love and calming my soul.
Help me release the weight of the day and enter into sleep with confidence,
Knowing that you are watching over me.
Take a deep breath in and slowly exhale.
Again,
Breathe in God's peace and breathe out all tension.
One more time,
Inhale his love and release every worry.
Now let us pray together,
Allowing each word to guide us deeper into rest.
Lord,
I bring before you all that has happened today.
Every moment,
Good and hard,
Joyful and challenging,
I lay it at your feet.
I choose to let go of anything that is stirring in my heart,
Anything that is unsettled in my mind.
I give you every thought that tries to keep me awake,
Every regret,
Every to-do list,
Every concern about tomorrow.
I surrender them all to you.
Your word says in 1 Peter 5.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
So Father,
I cast my cares upon you.
I release them one by one,
Knowing that you hold them in your perfect wisdom and your perfect love.
You are in control and I can rest in that truth.
As I prepare for sleep,
I ask for your peace to cover me like a blanket.
Your word tells me in Philippians 4.
7 that the peace of God,
Which surpasses all understanding,
Will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Let your peace wash over me now.
I breathe in your presence and exhale any stress.
I breathe in your love and exhale all worry.
I breathe in your rest and exhale every lingering thought.
Father,
Quiet my soul,
Slow my racing thoughts,
Let my body relax in your presence.
You are near and in you I find stillness.
Lord,
As I sleep,
I ask for your divine protection over me and my home.
Your word reminds me in Psalm 4.

In peace I will lie down and sleep,
For you alone,
Lord,
Make me dwell in safety.
I trust that you are watching over me.
You are my shelter,
My stronghold,
My defender.
No harm can come near me because I am covered by your love.
Send your angels to surround me,
Keeping me safe throughout the night.
Let my room be filled with your presence.
Cover my mind with thoughts of your goodness.
Let no fear,
No anxiety,
And no unrest have a place in me.
Instead,
Let your spirit bring deep and lasting peace.
Father,
I know that tomorrow is in your hands.
Whatever waits for me when I wake,
You have already gone before me.
You have made a way,
I do not need to figure everything out tonight because you are already in control.
Matthew 6.
34 reminds me,
Do not worry about tomorrow,
For tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Help me rest in that truth,
Lord.
I trust you with the unknown.
I trust you with my needs.
I trust you with my future.
I trust you with every detail of my life.
And so,
I release tomorrow into your hands.
I choose to sleep in faith knowing that you will take care of everything in your perfect way and in your perfect time.
Father,
I invite you into my rest tonight.
Let my dreams be filled with your presence.
Let my sleep be deep and uninterrupted,
Restoring me in mind,
Body,
And spirit.
Psalm 127.
2 tells me,
He grants sleep to those he loves.
I receive that promise now.
I receive your gift of rest.
Let my body heal and be renewed.
Let my mind find quiet and clarity.
Let my soul be refreshed as I sleep in your arms.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being with me,
For never leaving me,
And for watching over me as I sleep.
Thank you for your love,
Your peace,
And the rest that only you can give me.
As I close my eyes,
I choose to trust you completely.
I let go of all control,
Knowing that you are my Good Shepherd,
Guiding me even in the stillness of night.
I rest in your love.
I rest in your peace.
I rest in the safety of your presence.
