Saying yes to yourself is one way of setting boundaries. It takes courage and inner strength to do this. Often we have not been taught how to set boundaries or have lost them through trauma. It is time to honour and respect yours. It is empowering as you release fears or doubts that hold you back from establishing yours. They give you a sense of freedom and are important for your health and wellbeing. By setting them you are honouring and respecting yourself.

Transcript

As we begin this meditation,

Take a deep breath in and let it out slowly,

Allowing your body to relax and your mind to become quiet.

Allowing yourself to sink into the moment,

Being present and letting everything go that brought you to this point.

Take your focus to your breath as you gently inhale and exhale,

Letting your body settle into a state of presence and stillness.

Now begin to reflect on what boundaries you'd like to set for yourself.

As you do so,

Visualize yourself in a protective bubble of light.

This energy field serves as a shield to protect you from any external influences that may be affecting you right now.

See it as a protection,

Keeping you safe and secure as you explore what boundaries mean for you.

Bring to mind a situation or relationship where you have struggled with boundaries.

See it clearly in your mind's eye and observe how it makes you feel and what emotions are arising.

Be with these without judgment.

Simply acknowledge them,

Allow them to be present and then let them move on.

Now ask yourself what do you need to feel safe,

Respected and protected.

Again,

As you do so,

Notice how it feels to have these boundaries you have set in place.

Keep reminding yourself that it is okay to honour your needs.

It is okay for you to create these boundaries for your well-being,

Knowing that you are worthy of these boundaries.

With your next breath in,

Bring your attention to your heart centre.

Imagine a warm glowing light emanating from your heart,

Spreading throughout your body and radiating out into the world.

Feeling this light expanding and growing,

Stronger and stronger,

Brighter and brighter.

And as you do so,

Imagine any negative or unwanted energy being released and dissolved.

Being released and dissolved.

Now that you are in this beautiful protective bubble of light,

Identify what clear and firm boundaries you need to establish and see yourself setting them in the situation or relationship you have been struggling with.

See yourself confidently communicating your needs and desires with ease and grace,

Releasing any fears or doubts that are holding you back from establishing these protective boundaries.

Allow yourself to feel empowered,

Strong and self-assured,

Fully trusting that the universe is supporting you in setting these boundaries.

Now tune into your body and see how it is feeling now.

Really get a sense of what it's like,

What it feels like to set boundaries to protect yourself.

Keep reminding yourself that it's okay to honour your needs and do what is right for you.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Repeat the following affirmations.

I honour and respect my own needs and boundaries.

My boundaries are clearly defined.

I am worthy of love,

Respect and dignity.

My boundaries are important and necessary for my health and wellbeing.

I can choose who and what I want in my life.

I can enforce them without guilt or shame.

I have the power to say no to any situation or relationship that does not support my values or boundaries.

By setting and maintaining my boundaries,

I am creating a safe,

Loving and caring space for me to be in.

For the next few moments,

Just simply enjoying this place of empowerment,

Feeling safe in this beautiful protective bubble of light.

When you're ready to end the meditation,

Take a few deep breaths in as you stretch your body and allow yourself to fully re-enter the present moment.

Bring the visualisation of the white light and your boundaries with you into your day and carry this feeling of empowerment with you,

Knowing that you have the strength and courage to keep setting healthy boundaries for yourself in all areas of your life.
