Welcome to this meditation for overthinkers.
This is your space to pause,
To step out of the noise of your mind and come home to yourself.
If you've been overthinking,
Looping,
Analyzing,
Replaying,
You're not alone.
And in this moment,
You don't need to solve anything.
You simply need to breathe.
Finding a comfortable position,
Let your shoulders drop and unclench your jaw.
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in and a longer breath out.
Again,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Let your body begin to feel supported,
Held and safe.
Now,
We're going to move into a gentle rhythm of breathing.
This breathing is designed to guide you into calm,
Clarity and confidence.
There's nothing to force,
Just follow my voice.
Breathing in slowly through your nose,
Filling your belly and then breathing out through the mouth.
Inhaling through the nose,
Into the belly and breathing out through the mouth.
And as you breathe in,
The belly rises and as you exhale,
The belly softens.
Breathing in and breathing out allows your body to know it is safe to slow down.
As you continue breathing in this way,
Bring awareness to your chest,
Bring awareness to your heart space.
Breathing in through the nose,
As if your breath is moving in and out of your heart.
Slowly inhale and softly exhale.
Imagine as you breathe in this way,
The breath soothing your heart,
Like a warm light spreading through your chest.
Now,
Notice your thoughts.
There's no need to stop them,
Just observe.
As you breathe in,
Imagine space opening in your mind.
And as you breathe out,
Imagine thoughts gently drifting away like clouds.
Inhale space,
Exhale release.
You are not your thoughts,
You are the one noticing them.
Now,
Bring your awareness deeper to a quiet place within you.
A place beneath the noise,
Beneath the overthinking.
Breathing into the belly and breathing out through the mouth.
As you breathe in this way,
Connect with that stillness within.
Breathing in through the nose,
Into the belly and out through the mouth.
And as you exhale,
Letting go of the need to figure everything out.
Clarity doesn't come from force,
It comes from the stillness within.
As you breathe in this way,
Trust that what you need will become clear.
Continue to breathe in this way.
Now,
As you continue to breathe in this way,
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth,
Imagine a gentle strength rising within you.
As you breathe in,
You breathe in calm.
You breathe in clarity.
You breathe in confidence.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
As you exhale,
Feel that confidence settle into the body.
You don't need all the answers right now,
You just need to trust in yourself.
Continue to breathe in this way,
Breathing in calm,
Clarity,
Confidence.
And as you breathe out,
Feel the strength rise from within.
Take a few moments to breathe in this way.
Now,
Begin to return to your natural breathing.
Notice how you feel.
Do you feel slightly calmer?
Maybe a little more spacious?
Or a little more grounded?
Your thoughts may still be there,
But they don't need to have control over you.
You can always come back to the breath.
Breathing in this way brings you to presence,
Brings you back to this moment,
Brings you to this calm.
And when you're ready,
Gently bring awareness back to your body.
Become aware of your surroundings.
Maybe wiggle your fingers and toes.
Softly open your eyes.
And in this moment,
Allow yourself to feel the calm.
Take this calm with you into the rest of your day,
Or into a restful sleep.
You are safe.
You are steady.
You are enough.
