Led by Diana La from Twisted Roots Yoga: "Yoga Nidra asks to welcome and embrace your truest self, rather than change yourself. The invitation is to notice what 'is', not what 'is not'. A YogaFaith Nidra will redeem biblical principles of peace, health, wholeness and rest. We are grateful that God has led you here to help us redeem what Christ died to give us: a joyful, abundant life, and the peace that passes all understanding."- YogaFaith. "Come to me and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28

Welcome to this Twisted Roots Yoga Faith Nidra.

My name is Deanna and I feel blessed to guide you through your practice today.

Please take a moment to find a comfortable position laying down.

You are welcome to place blankets,

Bolsters,

And or blocks under your knees to help relieve any tension under your spine.

If you need pillows or blankets under your head or neck,

Feel free to place them accordingly to your comfort.

Adjust your body to as comfortable a position as possible so that during your practice you may have as little movement necessary.

During your Nidra today,

If you feel you need to move,

Do so as slowly and quietly as possible so as not to disturb anyone around you.

Throughout your practice today,

You will hear scripture read from the Holy Bible.

Take each verse as it is.

Acknowledge the words and let them speak to you how they will.

Heavenly Father,

You are so wonderful.

You created our beautiful bodies as a whole,

With each part having an intentional purpose.

You are so good and we praise you.

We listen to your words.

We hear your wisdom and your advice gifted down to us to help us throughout this human-filled world.

Thank you for your grace.

Amen.

Bring your awareness to your entire body.

Focus on your body from head to toe.

Notice any sensation that is flowing throughout your body.

Acknowledge any feelings that may or may not arise.

Acknowledge these feelings and then let them go.

You are aware of your whole body.

Head,

Torso,

Legs,

And toes.

Feel the connection through them all.

Feel your body as a whole.

From whom the whole body joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped,

When each part is working properly,

Makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

Ephesians 4,

16.

Bring your awareness to your breath.

Take notice of how you breathe in and out.

Allow your breath to flow freely with little to no manipulation.

Throughout this practice,

If you feel that your mind drifts away,

Come back to your breath,

Come back to my voice,

And see if you can bring your focus back to the present moment.

The hand of the Lord was upon me,

And he brought me out in the spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of the valley.

It was full of bones,

And he led me around among them,

And behold,

There were very many on the surface of the valley,

And behold,

They were very dry.

And he said to me,

Son of man,

Can these bones live?

And I answered,

O Lord God,

You know.

And he said to me,

Prophesy over these bones and say to them,

O dry bones,

Hear the word of the Lord.

Thus says the Lord God to these bones,

Behold,

I will cause breath to enter you,

And you shall live.

Ezekiel 37,

1-5.

Start to bring your awareness toward your forehead.

Feel any sensation that surrounds your forehead.

Your right ear,

Your mouth,

The roof of your mouth,

Your tongue,

Your chin.

Take in the sensations surrounding your face.

Feel your forehead all the way down to your chin.

What sensations do you feel,

If you feel any?

Behold,

I stand at the door and knock.

If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,

I will come into him and eat with him and he with me.

Revelation 3-20.

Move down to acknowledge your throat,

All your fingers.

Feel your right palm,

Your right forearm,

Your right elbow,

Your right triceps,

Your right bicep,

Your entire right arm from shoulder to fingertips.

Feel your right arm in its entirety.

Bring your awareness to your left fingers,

Your left thumb,

Your left pointer finger,

Your left middle finger,

Your left ring finger,

Your left pinky finger,

All your fingers.

Focus on any sensations you might feel and then let them go.

Feel your left palm,

Your left forearm,

Your left elbow,

Your left triceps,

Your left bicep,

Your entire left arm from shoulder to fingertips.

Feel your left arm in its entirety.

Acknowledge any sensations and then let them go.

Then he said to Thomas,

Reach here with your finger and see my hands,

And reach here your hand and put it into my side.

And do not be unbelieving,

But believing.

John 20 27.

Bring your awareness to your pelvis,

Your right thigh,

Your right knee,

Your right shin,

The top of your right foot,

Your right big toe,

Your second toe,

Your third toe,

Your fourth toe,

Your fifth toe,

All of your toes.

Feel any sensations surrounding your toes.

Slowly move your attention to the bottom of your right foot,

Your right heel,

Your right calf,

The back of your right knee,

Your right hamstring,

Your entire right leg.

Feel your right leg from top to bottom and from bottom to top.

Feel any sensations that might be reverberating through your right leg.

Bring your awareness to your left thigh,

Your left knee,

Your left shin,

The top of your left foot,

Your left big toe,

Your second toe,

Your third toe,

Your fourth toe,

Your fifth toe,

All of your toes.

Feel any sensations surrounding your toes.

Slowly move your attention to the bottom of your left foot,

Your left heel,

Your left calf,

The back of your left knee,

Your left hamstring,

Your entire left leg.

Feel any sensations that might be reverberating through your left leg.

Feel both of your legs together.

Feel your pelvis all the way down to your toes,

Your toes all the way up to your pelvis.

Focus on any sensations you may feel throughout your lower body.

Therefore,

Strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble and make straight paths for your feet so that the limb,

Which is lame,

May not be put out of joint,

But rather be healed.

Hebrews 12,

12 through 13.

Move your focus up onto your sacrum,

Your tailbone,

And feel any sensation that might be residing in that area.

Move up your spine,

Start in your lumbar,

Then your thoracic,

Then pause at the bottom of your cervical spine.

Feel your entire back as a whole from top to bottom and acknowledge any sensations that might arise during your scan.

Journey on toward the top of your cervical spine near your atlas,

The back of your head,

And come to rest at the crown of your head.

Focus on the sensation you might feel in this area.

Explore these sensations before you let them go.

In that day,

The Lord of hosts will be a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty to the remnant of his people,

Isaiah 28,

5.

Feel your body in its entirety.

Feel your body from crown to toes to fingers and back to your crown.

Consider any sensations that arise.

Greet them and then let them go.

Hear my voice according to your steadfast love.

Oh Lord,

According to your justice,

Give me life,

Psalm 119,

149.

Observe your breath of your entire body.

Feel the flow of your breath as it goes in your body and follow the direction as it works its way down and reverses flowing back out of your body.

Notice the rise and fall of your torso,

Whether it's in your abdomen or in your chest.

Feel the energy come in your body and flow out of your body.

Feel any sensations that are arising in and around your body.

Are you cold?

Are you warm?

What parts of your body are cold?

What parts of your body are warm?

Don't be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing.

Be saturated in prayer throughout each day,

Offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude.

Tell him every detail of your life.

Philippians 4,

6.

Does your body feel light or maybe does your body feel heavy?

Acknowledge whatever sensations you feel and then let that sensation go.

For anything that becomes visible is light.

Therefore,

It says,

Awake,

O sleeper,

And arise from the dead and Christ will shine on you.

Ephesians 5,

14.

Bring your awareness back to your breath,

Back to your body.

When you feel ready,

You may open your eyes.

Slowly roll over onto one side,

Whichever you feel led to.

When you feel complete,

You may come to sit up in your easy seat with your palms at heart center.

I appeal to you,

Therefore,

Brothers,

By the mercies of God,

To present your bodies as a living sacrifice,

Holy and acceptable to God,

Which is your spiritual worship.

Do not be conformed to this world,

But be transformed by the renewal of your mind that by testing you may discern what is the will of God,

What is good and acceptable and perfect.

Romans 12,

1 through 2.

Thank you,

Jesus,

For granting us this time together.

Please bless these listeners and grant them well-being within their bodies.

Amen.
