Welcome to the solar plexus meditation.
Please come to a comfortable seat or recline.
Begin to soften the gaze down and out a few feet in front of you or gently close your eyes.
Begin to observe your breath.
Place one hand and then the other in the space just above your navel or belly button.
Return to the breath.
Take a nice long audible exhale if that feels right for you.
Inhale for the count of 1,
2,
3,
4,
5.
Pause.
Exhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
7.
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
5.
Exhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
7.
Continue with this breath pattern or return to your natural pattern.
Bring your focus to the area just above your navel,
Either right underneath your hands if they are placed there or just in this space.
This space is believed to hold our solar plexus chakra.
Notice the radiant bright yellow light in this space.
Watch as it expands with each exhale and shrinks with each inhale.
This space is believed to hold our personal power and confidence.
If you'd like,
On the inhale,
Repeat,
I am empowered.
And exhale,
I am confident.
Exhale,
I am empowered.
Allow your breath to flow naturally.
Notice how the bright yellow ball of light expands and shrinks with each round of breath.
Watch as the bright rays of light shine in and throughout your body.
Can you feel its heat warming this space?

Allow in a few more purposeful rounds of breath here.
Start to bring attention back to the space around you.
You could add some slight movement in your body.
