Welcome to today's meditation.

I invite you to come into a comfortable seat or to recline,

Placing the hands wherever is most comfortable for you,

And gently closing the eyes or softening the gaze just a few feet out in front of you if that feels comfortable.

Imagine yourself on a warm sunny day walking along the shores of a beautiful sandy but quiet beach.

You can feel the warm sand underneath your feet and with each step you sink in just a little bit more.

The bright sun is kissing your skin with just a gentle breeze coming from the water.

You continue to walk down the beach with slow purposeful steps.

And as you walk,

The water starts to come up just a little closer inch by inch eventually lightly touching your feet.

You can smell the salty air.

You can feel the warmth of the sun gently kissing your skin.

And as you walk,

You take a moment to stop to face the water and just observe how it continues to go on and on and on.

You're reminded of the gratitude that you have for this very moment allowing you to be present and engaged.

Take a moment to show gratitude for loving yourself enough to show up for today's practice.

As you continue to gaze out into the water,

You're reminded of all the possibilities that still exist.

The possibilities for your dreams,

Your hopes,

Your goals.

Gratitude for the big things and the small things in life.

Gratitude for the warm sun above.

The gentle breeze of the wind.

The sound of the ocean waves crashing against the shore.

The softness of the sand.

The uniqueness of your own footprint as you take step by step.

As you walk a little closer to the water,

The foamy waves gently touch your feet.

Peace and cool.

Gratitude for the ability to walk along this beautiful beach.

As you continue to walk along the beach,

You begin to notice a variety of rocks,

Different shapes,

Different colors,

Different sizes.

Each one beautiful in its own unique way.

This reminds you to be grateful for your own uniqueness in your beautiful shape,

Your shade,

And every other attribute that makes you,

You.

You also see seashells,

Again reminding you of their uniqueness.

Some completely whole,

Some chipped,

And each one unique in its own right.

As you continue to walk along this beautiful beach,

The silence allows for you to be more attuned to the gentle ocean sound.

No distractions,

No music,

No one talking.

Just you and the ocean waves.

As you look up towards the sky at the beautiful blue shade,

You again are reminded of the endless possibilities that exist in life.

The sky just continues to go on and on with no end in sight.

Its magnificence in its color and its uniqueness.

Can you go back to the feeling of that soft sand underneath your feet?

Seeing the gentle breeze sliding across your skin.

The warm sun shining,

Kissing your skin.

Can you return to the gentle waves crashing against the shore?
