Welcome to the heart chakra meditation.
I invite you to take a comfortable seat or to recline.
Gently close your eyes or soften the gaze down and out a few feet in front of you.
Take a moment to tune into your breath.
On your next round of breath,
Exhale all of the air and begin to inhale for the count of one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
And pause.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight.
Inhale,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Pause.
Exhale,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight.
Continue with this breath pattern if you'd like or return to your natural breath pattern.
Bring your awareness to the space just between the middle of your chest.
This area is to be laid to hold our heart center.
Imagine a bright green ball of light in this space.
With each inhale,
The light begins to diminish and with each exhale,
It begins to brighten.
Notice how it expands with each exhale,
Almost similar to blowing up a balloon.
Allow the bright rays of light to shine throughout this space.
Can you feel the fullness of love throughout your body,
Throughout your heart,
And throughout your soul?
If it feels right for you,
With each inhale,
You can repeat,
My heart is open to give and receive unconditional love.
With each exhale,
See that bright green ray of light spreading out.
My heart is open to give and receive unconditional love.
My heart is open to give and receive unconditional love.
As you continue with each inhale and exhale,
Imagine that ray of light spreading in and throughout your whole being.
Begin to imagine this bright green ray of love and light shining out towards your loved ones.
Can you feel the fullness of love in your heart?
As you continue with your rounds of breath,
Imagine this light spreading out across the earth,
Spreading love and joy and kindness.
Feel your heart expand with so much love for yourself and others that it feels full.
With your next exhale,
Feel that final push of love,
Joy,
And kindness spreading throughout to yourself,
Your loved ones,
And finally to the rest of the earth.
Place one hand in your heart space and then the other over it.
Take a few more rounds of breath here and then begin to bring your focus back to your breath and then back to your body,
Adding some slight movement.
If it feels right for you,
Give yourself a big hug,
Showing yourself some love as well.
And gently open your eyes if not already.
