You you you So just making sure that the space around you is still and quiet and prepared for a moment of coming back home to the stillness within so even if there is noise or disturbances on the outside making sure that There is a state of equanimity within that allows you to just focus and to remember that meditation spiritual practice is important an important part of your everyday practice So as you come back to the state of equanimity the state of inner balance just exploring What it means to be still what it means to be centered within this aware presence That is transmitted through stillness Very often Mind believes stillness to be a negation of experience So stillness means a place where experience is not happening There is no stress there is no anxiety there is no demands from life the need to do this or the need to do that whether it be practical or emotional or physical or whether it be mental Activity very often the understanding of stillness or this inner state of equanimity Is believed by many to be a negation of activity But in actual fact if we look at what Equanimity means from an experiential state rather than a mental conceptual understanding of this state then we understand that It is a transformation of activity This means that The activity changes in its quality and the attributes that are contained within this activity begin to transform in a way that the heart understands And can experience through this understanding So even if we don't experience the flow of equanimity within our bodies or within our emotional bodies or mental bodies or nervous The nervous system or just within this space that we manifest within even if such an experience seems to be far away on an experiential level the understanding of equanimity means that We truly align ourselves to such an experience So it's important to make sure that This understanding is the foundation of your awareness of your presence Rather than the search For this still space that Is misunderstood as being a negation of activity Because if we search for an experience it means that we're not really aware or present To the actual experience that's happening right now So it's another game that the mind plays or an egoic search for something that Is conceptual rather than heartfelt So even if the experience seems far removed the experience of coming back to stillness or Just state of quietness Even if that is far removed from actually what is going on say the mind is thinking or the emotional aspect of your being is Reacting to the stress or the anxieties or the demands of everyday life The foundation is your intention So if you set in motion the intention to come back to this beautiful state of equanimity And that already sets in motion the transmission of energy the transmission of understanding of what this means on so many levels on so many dimensions that are not truly Comprehended by the mind Not understood by the mind And it is this transmission even though subtle and perhaps seemingly invisible to the mind that is very important and it's important that this intention be understood not from the mind but from within this heartfelt space Where wisdom can begin to transmit its communication?
Begin to transmit its qualities begin to transmit its subtleties to you which eventually gets understood through experience and through the conceptual mind Understanding what such an experience means Sometimes we have the experience before we realize we're experiencing that which we're experiencing The mind always is much slower It seems very quick,
But the mind is always much slower than the directness of an experience sometimes takes Few moments to understand what is going on?
Sometimes the feeling has already been transmitted within The physical body and it takes a few moments for the mind to catch up with that transmission of feeling and it is the same with subtleties of Equanimity sometimes the subtleties of equanimity transmit their meaning to your body or to your Mind or even to your nervous system,
But the awareness of what this means happens much later So hence why the foundation of a clear intention is so very important And if this intention is made clear not just as a mental concept,
So it's not just saying to yourself,
Okay now I'm going to sit and I'm going to be present I'm going to be aware Because that's just a mental concept Doesn't matter if you say that to yourself whether you say it silently or allowed It's just another activity that comes from the mundane It's important that This intention that you're creating comes from a state of deep trust And that is what wisdom means you wisdom Is the ability to trust that there are many dimensions to an experience that sometimes are meaningful And even if we don't understand the meaning behind the experience we understand the wisdom And wisdom can communicate the subtleties of an experience Whatever the experience is in a way that is beyond just the judgment of the mind beyond the mind saying Oh,
That's not such a nice experience or that's a stressful experience or that's Whatever it is that the mind chooses to label the experience as due to conditioning due to Socialization due to just perception most of which tends to be negative and wrong Doesn't reflect the truth within this moment It's just our perception that sometimes creates these Subtleties that are transmitted to the mind that have no meaning within this moment So this moment Is the space of wisdom this moment is the space where you can embrace?
Intention from a deep deep connection to wisdom so as you breathe in and breathe out and let go of the mundane let go even of the thoughts and the activities that the mind Has been so very busy entertaining As you let go of such mundaneness It's not bad,
But there is no need to bring such mundaneness into your spiritual practice So as you let that go and just come back to the space of the heart Imagine or feel or physically connect to this heartfelt space that's deep within It's not just physical but you can sense the energy of this heartfelt space As the wisdom that's transmitting a meaningful Communication in this moment and that meaningful communication begins to make sense beyond just your thoughts There's no need to understand This space that you are connecting to all you have to do is align yourself to the Wonderful flow that's being transmitted from within this space And as the vibration of your mind and the vibration of your emotional body and physical body relax And let go of just all the different activities that have Created tension or anxiety as you let that go and relax so that the vibration comes back to stillness This means that you're actually aware of much more Than when you're in a reactive state of mind Your mind is not focused on your perceptions or the specific aspects of your perceptions,
But rather expanding into the fullness of presence So as you let go it is easier to expand so the activity changes in its quality from being focused and reactive and being very Caught by The various activities within the mundane world to a more relaxed state of consciousness that allows for a deeper receptivity to the meaning and purpose of Communication whatever the communication might be that is happening in this moment emotional communication physical communication mental communication just being aware of the energy of such communication brings about an expansion Within the state of consciousness that is now manifesting in your practice As you breathe in and breathe out and let go Consciousness And wisdom connect within the space of presence within the space of awareness Deep breath In the background the mind may continue to be active because there is no negation of activities within this state of expansion or consciousness Simply the focus is not limited by one thread of thinking or one thread of judgment Space of thinking expands so that The mind In this moment has the ability to be connected to many dimensions of communication not just the one that is most Vibrant for your mind most energetic for your mind,
But also the subtleties of Thought that happen as you relax your body compassionate thoughts loving thoughts still thoughts Inspiring thoughts Beautiful thoughts All happen within this space of consciousness that you're embracing as you let go of being limited by the mundane perceptions of the world So many interesting thoughts come to mind And it's not just that the mind is relaxed and open to the newness of learning Not just that the mind is open to new perceptions and new understandings and new thoughts from such newness But also the body and the emotional body and the nervous system Open to new experience.
It is almost as if the mind The brain the mind Fires and wires and The neurons within the brain fire and wire in a totally different way simply because the references now are Expanding beyond the mundane flow embracing the mundane flow from a new perspective From the still aware present perspective of just being here without the need to follow or to be manipulated by a Stressful thought or an anxious thought or a negative feeling or negative perception You can observe this as one would observe an interesting play in the theater It's all happening There is no need to negate the activity the focus Is just being present so you are observing theater rather than participating in the active roles that the various people within the theater are acting out The drama is interesting,
But it's not your drama It's not connected to your being Your physical being or your emotional being or your mental being This is what equanimity means You're just here Not over there or somewhere else.
You're just here present and aware deep breath As you continue breathing in and breathing out as you continue breathing in and breathing out and letting go of the mundane and coming back to the still point within,
The state of equanimity,
Sensing the vibration around you,
The vibration within the space that is around your physical body in the room or in the space that you are sitting or lying down,
Enjoying this transmission within.
As you breathe in and breathe out,
Listening to the vibration of the mantra,
From within the heart,
Receiving the vibration of this mantra into your body,
Into the space,
Allowing the vibration of who?
The sacred sound of stillness to communicate to you beyond the conceptual mind,
Just to touch your body,

For me, alignment with stillness was very powerful while he was speaking, less so during the mantra. Overall, I am grateful for the experience.
