Reflection For Easter 2020

Holy week in 2020 has been like no other. With half the planet in lockdown here is an opportunity to share in the traditional way of the cross of Jesus of Nazareth. After Good Friday come Easter Sunday and hope of Resurrection.

It has been a holy new holy week, A lonely pain-filled climb to the place of the skull. Not by one man, But by every person. Not in one place, But in all places. Isolated. Together. We enter a dark passage to await resurrection. But resurrection is certain, As day follows night and spring winter. The stone will roll back to reveal a new creation born in suffering, Nurtured through compassion, Strengthened through the exhortation love one another. Inspired by the words, In so far as you did it to the least of these brothers of mine, You did it to me.
