Dear friends,
Here is a blessing for Sunday.
It's the first of a series of seven,
Intended to send love to you every day of the week.
We begin with an invitation to you to become present.
So make sure you are sitting comfortably.
Relax.
Your back reasonably straight,
But not rigid.
Your eyes can be opened or closed,
Whichever suits.
The important thing is to just relax and be here.
Next,
Let's pay attention to the breathing.
Breathing in and noticing that you are breathing in.
And the same as you breathe out.
Breathing out and noticing that you are breathing out.
May you be well.
May you be safe.
May you be happy.
May you live with ease.
May you be peaceful,
Radiating peace wherever you go.
May you receive kindness.
And may you spread kindness around.
May you treat the world with gentleness.
And may gentleness come back to reward you.
What goes around,
Comes around.
So may your gift of love to the world be reflected back to you day after day.
Day after day.
May you be rewarded with the gift of patience.
You'll be the main beneficiary of the patience you practice.
In moments of stress,
May you remember to stop,
Relax and release any tension you might feel.
This can be practiced anywhere.
Before a difficult phone call or a worrisome meeting.
Before an examination or an interview or a test.
It can be practiced if you find yourself holding on tightly to the arms in the dentist's chair.
May you come to a place of peace by releasing tension.
Today and every day,
May you be well.
May you be safe.
May you be happy.
May you live with ease.
Namaste.
