In this first kindful minute,
Give yourself a pat on the back for realizing that kindfulness starts with yourself.
By treating yourself to ten minutes of me time each and every day in meditation and reflection you are building the foundations for a kindful life.
In this next kindful minute,
Make a pact with yourself to ditch your to-do list and to start a to-love list.
Then tackle your to-love list from the top down doing the things you love to do first.
You know you are worth it.
In this next kindful minute,
Only when the whim takes you,
Think about how you can do a random act of kindness for someone you love or better still for a stranger.
Make sure it is random and that you do it without expecting reciprocation from the person you bestow it upon.
In this next kindful minute,
Return the kindfulness of the trees and plants.
They love the carbon dioxide that you exhale and love to give you oxygen back in return.
Be mindful of this for the next few exhalations and inhalations.
In this next kindful minute,
Remember some time over today to treat yourself to a breather.
Go for a walk outside or why not indulge in a power nap,
What I call a snoozitation.
In this next kindful minute,
Think over the events of yesterday and how you shone your light.
Reflect on how today you can turn up the intensity a little.
In this next kindful minute,
Be mindful of the love Mother Earth holds for you.
How gravity sticks you to the planet and holds onto the atmosphere you breathe.
As you go about your day,
Be ecological in return about your thoughts,
Your activities and your deeds.
In this next kindful minute,
Be thankful to the Moon and the Sun.
The Moon balances affairs on Earth and the Sun powers our activities.
Put their energies back at them as they like to be thanked and recognised.
In this next kindful minute,
Be thankful to your ancestors for their part in bringing you to this time right now.
All wisdom and experiences are built on the foundations that they laid.
By removing any shackles from the past,
You not only free yourself but you pay homage to your ancestors and free your ancestors from their karmic bonds.
In this last kindful minute,
Make a mental note to pass these kindnesses on to at least three other people.
Share this meditation with your friends,
Family and social networks.
Be mindful that the kindnesses you share unconditionally bounce back at you from unexpected sources,
Both amplified and when you are least expecting them.
Be thankful when they visit your door.
